    Ive seen camper van guy whos a nurse living in his vehicles use foil insulation from any hardware store. Ive used duct tape and cheap dollar tree place mats on some of my windows.the drivers side. And the passenger side i have a shower curtain that runs across the length of my windows. Back window i use a sun shade. To block the front off i have another shower curtain to run across on a bungie cord. Hope it helps. Fyi you should be abel to cut that foil to fit right in without tape. Or buy some suction cups & poke a hole in the material just big enough for the suction cup to fit & stick Wish you all well hope this helps Repent Because God Loves You All. I think I would use a sheet of 3/8" black foam or cardboard spray painted black on one side. The black foam is easy to cut slightly over size so it conforms to the shape of the window but oversize will help it to stay put within the window frames. Either would be cheap to make, easy to replace and store. Simplify whatever works best for your car windows.

  • @WES-JGC-2013
    @WES-JGC-2013 10 місяців тому

    You can use duct tape around the edges, folding in half longways to use to cover all gaps, because all those gaps will show up like a flare when you are in the dark and turn on a light inside the vehicle. When you do it that way it also acts as a "Pulltab" to pull the covers off the windows, but you definitely want all those gaps completely sealed so no light shows in, that way no light will show out and you will remain completely unseen at night. It will save you from an unwanted knock in the middle of the night!

    Wouldn't this block airflow on the side windows if you keep them open slightly overnight to improve circulation and minimize condensation buildup?

      You can run a cut sideways and run a piece of duct tape on both sides to act as a flap to fold down if you want to roll window down even with your ventshades! Works great!

    Nice option if you want something rugged but still off the ground and comfortable. And some find the price a bit high, but anything that has a towable trailer just can’t cost the same as a Walmart tent. And looks like it would hold up over time or for re-sale, as it doesn’t have many froo-froo extras to break.

    I had one similar to these it was a Leisure Lite for towing behind a motorcycle. Some campgrounds charged me as a normal RV since it had wheels. It's a tent as far as I'm concerned but those camp owners looked at it differently. By the way I did not need power or water but it made no difference to them. Now I'm back to a real tent or Jungle Hammock.

    Cool concept. I have an ARB Awning and Deluxe Room 8x8x8’ it hangs off my Yakima aero at roof rack, spent $1,000 for rack, awning, and deluxe room. All stows in a zippered bag or aluminum case. Setup and take down is mere seconds compared to one of these.

    This idea was created from a Springbar tent. It’s a neat concept but I would get an actual tent trailer before I got this. I could put my Springbar tent on my trailer & call it good but I do want a cargo trailer I can store my quad in along with all my camping gear that’s taken up space in the garage. It would be already ready & be a bug out trailer.

    I love the way that they keep re-inventing old things to improve the way they work. They made similar trailer type tents with fold out beds way back in the 1800's and used to sleep a family of 6, or sometimes more in them. I love this one and if it wasn't just me camping these days it would be something to think about. I'll stick to my little tent or swag. Thanks for showing this though, it's a great little tent trailer.

      Yeah….seems like a nice product and fine it isn’t a totally new idea, but agree there have been similar towable, fold out tent trailers and likely similar things were thought up by many different people. And every 10-15 years or so, some company reinvents “the girdle” and gives it a new name, like Spanx, or “Shapewear” etc.
