      Gotta do what the company wants dude. Hydro testing isn't real big around here. As fast as SOME rack testers get shit tested it's way faster to just rack test it and run it in. We have literally gone months, pulled dozens of wells and never used the rod basket cause company wants to look at the rods on every well!! Believe me, it's not by choice😢

    I guess you never been on the 12,000 ft well with 1 inch rods coz if you fill 1 finger with 1" rods you spread those fingers apart n won't be able to get 3/4" rods in that slot again 12000' equals both sides full of triples n you lay a shit load on the ground

      @@aarondelagarza8446 7,000 was the deepest I've been on. South west Kansas south west of Dodge city. One side full the other side over half. We don't need that many (or any 😆) 1" rods. We have sleeves we put in ever other finger for 3/4" and 7"8. Take the sleeves out for 1". Even have some old shallower wells that still have 5/8" rods in them, need sleeves on both sides to hang those. We got shit figured out in Kansas!!! 😆

    I agree, the wind can get things swinging. Just curious as to why the guy running the rack opens the elevators when u are running in the hole, and why he also latches on coming out of the hole? Those big blocks are heavy, and if the tong hand opens the elevators and spreads them quickly, the guy running the rack wont have to jerk back so hard on the bails. That is also causing some of the swing. Just curious.

      @@rogermosberger6856 the way we do it on pole rigs is the guy running the rack spins them around and if u do it right they open themselves up and swing back and u can latch them on really easy. Some guys just can't get it down, and we just deal with it. As far as coming out of the hole, as long as the tubing isn't nasty scaled up crap and it's done right it's just easier for the guy laying it out to latch it on, he's right there anyway. That's just how we were taught to do it. Guys we were taught by been doing it this way since the 80s

I get accidents happen, but there is literally nothing that is gonna hit his head here, besides something where a hard hat isn't gonna help him anyway! How many of u old guys can say that? Not too fuckin many. A guy doesn't wear a hard hat for 30 minutes... The world is gonna end. He's in the best spot for not wearing it out of anyone out here, tubing rack is 7 to 8 feet away from the well head. And nuts or bolts or whatever has a better chance of falling in the guy running tongs hence why he was told to wear a spare hard hat when he was running them. It wasn't a very good one with broken straps but he wore it. Anyways he's got his giant j€w fro to stop anything coming down on his head

      @@glen3925 got over heated and ended up in the ER lastly summer, severely dehydrated. Was off for a week. Felt like crap all week. Was hard to go back in 100 degrees weather the following week. Took awhile to recover from that

      @@ReeseCannon this one is what's called a cedar hills disposal. It's only about 850' deep total depth. Cedar hills make awesome disposals, but in the counties we work in they are illegal to drill any new ones in almost all of them. The old ones are grandfathered in. Most wells we work on are 3200'-4800 give or take

      @@rosemarietroutman4830 yes. Drilling rig drills the wells, pulling units/work over rigs complete them. This was a casing leak that we ran a 3 1/2" liner in. Drilling the bottom of the liner and cast iron bridge plug out
