OMG I AGREE WITH SHUHUA. i prefer the salty savoury dumpling (zhong zi, sorry idk how to type characters) i don't really get why you should put SWEET inside of rice??

One of them actually speaks Putonghua Yuqi🇨🇳 Shuhua Guoyu🇹🇼. Written text is different between the two one of them has to simplified characters the other one uses traditional Chinese characters which makes her easy to understand Hong Konger and Macanese idols.

Wow I didn’t come across this one till just now XD So I’ve been studying Korean, which I’m only at the point where I can read them and translate them to Japanese characters(my native lang.), oh wait when I say translate I mean I can read, then sound it out and write the pronunciation in Japanese, not actually translate what the words means (although I can take words out and can understand what their talking about at least )😂 anywho after this Im now kind of wanting to learn Chinese too. Ive always thought Korean and Chinese language is such a beautiful language but not as much as I did koren… till now LOL I mean I’ve watched plenty of mandarin or Chinese or Taiwanese series and all, but never did I actually learn it until watching these two speak their native language. While watching them I realize again how Chinese is also so beautiful so I’m happy that these two motivated me to learn and not from the series or shows

An interesting part is the written text because Yuqi uses Simplified Chinese while Shuhua uses Traditional Chinese text to write Mandarin. Oddly Shuha's Traditional Chinese Taiwan text is also used to write out Got7 Jackson Loona Vivi's Cantonese. I've seen Zh-Tw combined with English text in Hong Kong Chep Lak Kok Airport and also Cathay Pacific aeroplanes

For us Chinese people from the south, we don’t usually eat zongzi that are sweet or has sweet filling. We usually have savory things like beans, peanuts, pork belly, cured egg yolk, chestnuts, etc.

Being someone who is in school learning Chinese and knowing dialect(esp shuhua’s Taiwan dialect and abit of yuqi’s Beijing accent) prolly helps in understanding what we’re saying

Like it but when it comes to writing Mandarin Shuhua is from Taiwan and she uses traditional Chinese characters which is intelligible to Hong Kongers that are in Kpop Loona Vivi Got7 Jackson & NCT Lucas. Mandarin Simplified Characters is used by Yuqi since she's from Beijing

just wanted to comment that when they were talking about traditional food around the one minute mark, yu qi says "Zongzi" but it's translated as dumplings in the video. Jiaozi is dumplings but Zongzi is basically a triangular shaped rice dish with filling in it and wrapped in bamboo leaves. completely different from dumplings

Just to mention, what they're talking about at the beginning, the food we eat during dragon boat festival is zongzi, totally different from dumplings, and rice dumpling, dumpling, and zongzi are three different type foods.

I'd say 90% percent of foreigners struggle to master different tones when speaking mandarin but obviously, Minnie just doesn't. So gifted in languages

0:52 actually, that trendy word is "狗帶(Gou Dai)" it means dog leaches, just because it's pronunciation is similar to "Go die", so many people will use "Gou Dai" instead of "Go die".

I'm Chinese so I can understand them well, even though my Chinese sucks right now I can still understand them lol. They're probably my favourite Chinese idols along side Lucas and Ningning. Also I love (G)-IDLE as well.
