Awesome tribute to an Absolute legend of Aussie Music , We saw him All the time Live at Selinas coogee bay you name it , We also loved Skiing at the time 80's here in Oz That night the mentals were Playing @the Jindabine Hotel , We where at Perisher that day we get on the quad chair who's beside us greedy we offered him a puff and saw him that Night Never forget the Chat we had that day ! Greedy the music you and the mentals Gave us all are the memories that i can never Forget Thank you!

I didn’t realise Andrew had died

We've all lost people and it's just so hard to make sense of the finality and starkness of their passing.

I'm in the media, and in my experience, many funerals and memorial services for public figures are kept strictly under wraps and very private. So, thanks for posting this. I met Greedy in Bondi Beach one day, circa 1984. I think he was living in the area at the time, like me. I cracked a joke which wasn't very funny, but he laughed anyway. Nice guy.

What was the health issues of Martin? Stroke?

This man had the heart of Australia with him. In Australia, United States and around the world Andrew (Creedy Smith) was the kind of mate that all people wanted. It was a surprise for all of us that grew up with "Mental as Anything". How this young man affected the world of music is beyond measure. Thank you Andrew 💕. Always seems a little awkward at funerals. People trying to say the best things using the best words they can find. Some fall apart as their hearts and minds are reminded of the person they are saying goodbye to for the last time. I feel the long term manager and younger brother Peter from the band covered it the best with what they had to say. Everyone seems to want to give the best speech but most fall short of doing what they had planned. Nothing against the Salvation Army or Minister But i definitely don't want this person talking about me as though he knew me well, along with a mix of a Sunday Church service. Each to there own of course. Right from the start this was going to be a long Funeral Service. It seemed to the dislike of the Minister that it should take so long. Possibly only my thoughts. But i am the writer of this story. If not reaching for things to say by the minister this service would be shorter and less Boring ?? Thanks Greedy and All the members of the band Mental As Anything for the music we grow up on. Still the songs i LOVE most. Date With Destiny & The World Seems Difficult, this one brings back memories of one of my favorite movies. The Big Steal. Thank You for posting this video. Apologises for a long comment. Just got caught up in the moment.

Lovely touch to have him brought into the hall to the tune of "live it up". His finest hour giving those who were there to celebrate his life a lift. From what I know about him I think he would have approved. Out of curiosity was Dave Twohill there? Probably unlikely given the legal wrangling but curious nonetheless.

He shone in the videos of their early hits and was unforgettable in the "Live it Up" one. An affable well loved personality who made a big impression.

Andrew greedy Smith made me believe in myself 2 of my friends betrayed me and I didn't no how to lift myself up I was crying for 8 days and nights solid then I remember listening to live it up greedy Smith was the greatest man I ever new and it was so upsetting hearing he passed away
