What I want to know is, how did Atrus, Anna, and Catran come up with all of the things they put on their island Age? Atrus spent most of his life in the desert; Anna most of hers between the desert and D'ni; and Catran spent her entire life on Riven. Where in the name of the Maker, would any of them have seen a cartoonish rocket?

it really is amazing how exploring older video games can feel like revealing ruins or secrets, especially when the games came out while you were alive but didn't have the capacity to know about them or play them.

Basically, you need to fill the pot so it actually has something in it for the dumbwaiter to take upstairs.

I’ll never forget how deeply SHOCKED I was when I first found this out!! Though I never thought you could do it like this! I always did it in like a circle. The chicken in the pot, the refrigerator, the pitcher, the salt and pepper shakers, the grinder, then the knife and cutting board, then the pot again. And there’s another Easter egg in this area, if you click on the shelf in the top left corner the salt and pepper shakers will sing as numerous items jump into to the pot of soup!!
