Holdind like that is crazy. Lower the truck or put something to raise up a workspace and let the wood rest on the bottom. And split it from the edge not the middle making a propeller to wack you in the head. Also increase rpm. This tool is great for hard to split wood. But installing and removal sucks unless you have lots to split.
