Austria Hungary's Wild Ride During WW1
1/ Scorched earth strategy is a myth, why Russians attacked French at Inkowo, fought at Smolensk and Borodino if the strategy was not to fight. 2/ 500.000 men 100.000 at Moscow. Look a map of Lithuania Belarus and Russia and think if it is wise to send 500.000 men to Moscow with nobody behind 3/ 500.000 men where this figure come from did it includes 11th corps which only came at the end, Danish which never come into Russia. Are some units like 13th Bavarian counted 2 times with 6th corps Bavarian and 10th corps? What about all Lithuanians units we never count them 4/ 10.000 men came back, what about 10th corps Mac Donald and Prussians, Austrians, 7th corps? What about the wounded men convoys? Sadly they are too many people repeating the same old things never something new with the real causes of the defeat but fortunately there is not the myth of desertion
10:12 war 1849-51 and 1864
1801 was not a British victory. Their pre-battle demand were not met. There was only a negotiated ceasefire. The Danish-Norwegian navy’s casualties were mainly in untrained volunteers, because there had been no time to prepare and assemble the regular and very competent navy personnel. In material terms the Danish losses were negligible since no active ships were engaged - the battle was fought with old hulks towed out. In contrast the British navy lost regular sailors and some of their best shipy
Danes were drawn into war in 1848.. 1st Schleswig war..
I don't know if it was deliberately avoided but I think it is relevant to talk about the 43 500 strong force stationed in Denmark as a planned Franco-Danish invasion of Sweden in 1807-1808 including La Romana's 15 000 men division made up of spanish soldiers under the General Marquis de La Romana. When news reached this latter about the overthrowing of Ferdinand VII by Napoleon, he decided to leave Denmark and british royal navy gave assistance in shipping spanish troops back to Santander where they fought against french forces.
As to me : 1# Russia. Responsable for at least 500 000 casualties on french army. Huge blow. 2# UK. The relentless funding of the coalition, roots of these wars coupled with unchallenged navy mastering french at sea. Provided vital and crucial help for the Iberians to win their war 3# Austria
Spain's situation was unfortunate for the French and their troops were spread out throughout Europe so could never use their full might against the British, Spanish and Portuguese. And furthermore Britain should be first, their economic blockade and funding the coalition was critical in Napoleon's downfall
Good movie. Gretings from Polan and capitol polish cavalry saber.... szablotłuk polski

The last statement is not true. The 1864 war was the 2nd Slesvig war. There was a 1st Slesvig war - in 1848.
Where are the sources?
I love their regiment clothings
Nice video, I think it would be good if you show sometimes how the map changes after an event.
Prince Józef Poniatowski - nephew of the last king of the Kingdom of Poland = Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, twice, with his own forces, pulled out of the encirclement already on the Russian tewens: first Marshal Murat and then another French commander. The Poles did a lot of good for the Emperor of the French. In the Polish attack on the gorge, only one squadron of 125 horses took part. The Sommosierra gorge went gently uphill. The Emperor, seeing that the French troops were falling apart, is said to have said: "... leave it to the Poles"... The Poles captured it very quickly. It took them about 20 minutes. The road to Madrid was wide open for the Emperor. In addition, they contributed significantly to the Emperor's victory over the Russians at Friedland in Prussia. The Emperor made one fatal mistake - he did not trust the Polish generals and senior officers who persuaded the Emperor to wait out the winter on Polish territory - the Poles would feed the army. And in spring, having fodder for the horses (green meadows), he would march on Moscow.
0:07 nice jawline

Hey do you think you could make a video of westphalia during the napoleonic wars?
Fantastic video!i wish you’d post more videos though.
I stumbled across your gem of a channel a few days ago and have binged all the videos since. As someone who's also deeply interested in the Napoleonic Wars I've enjoyed your content a great deal. It's a somewhat niche topic but try to keep it up and you'll grow overtime, thanks for the effort :)
Parts of Switzerland were incorporated into the French Empire, so not counting as "foreign". Today, we celebrate in Geneva the day the French troops left the city on December 31st, 1813

Didn't the battle of New Orleans happen on January 8, 1815?

We had similar types of irregular volounteer units here in Switzerland during the chaotic post Napoleonic era until the foundation of modern Switzerland in 1849. Here we called them "Freischaren" or "Freischaerler". Since Switzerland was still basically not a nation state but a treaty organisation of otherwise independent micro states (cantons), many volounteer units from one canton went over to support their ideological brethren in other cantons during the various infights in search of a new purpose (or not - depending on who's side you were on). Kind of like the border ruffians in Kansas - just less violent generally and usually more on the progressive side than on the reactionary.
Nice work, yet again! Keep it going strong.
You have to redo these text to speech videos. Absolutely can't stand them.

Grudges are personal, grudge is incorrect
The problem with using Impressment as a Causus Belli by the United States falls apart if you are aware of one very significant Act of Parliament in 1807. This act of Parliament removed the ability of the Royal Navy to use Impressment, one thing that is misunderstood about Impressment in the Royal Navy is it was never permanent, and was ALWAYS activated and deactivated by an Act of Parliament. Therefore in 1807 the Royal Navy ceased Impressment, as history would have it, it was a system the Royal Navy would never again use. So when the US declared war in 1812, the British had not used Impressment for 5 years, and the US Government KNEW this. Granted they probably did not know that the Royal Navy would go on to never use the method again, but they DID know that Impressment had ceased in 1807. For that reason I disagree with this idea that the annexation of Canada was not the primary reason behind the US starting the war. Impressment, despite it no longer being in use was simply the excuse, the real goals from the start was to annex large portions of Canada and present a fait accompli to the British. It was a land grab, pure and simple.
Really cool video ngl
”So the british went to copenhagen, and blew some stuff up”
Large parts of the city indeed..
And stole the fleet
Hearing that most of the freikorps were all bad is a bit different to the World War One freikorps of highly experienced, veteran soldiers equipped with military equipment.

I have one question with you is the confederation of Rhine , different from the The german confederation
Yes, the German Confederation was meant as a sort of replacement for the Holy Roman Empire that was ended during the Napoleonic Wars.
Could you cite your sources in your descriptions? I think a good deal of viewers would love to further read up on these topics
