Trail Running Gear: Needs vs Wants vs Unnecessary Gear Are you overwhelmed by the endless trail running gear options? Stick around until the end because tomorrow’s ...

After logging 750 miles on the Norda 01 trail running shoe, I put this $300 shoe to the ultimate test. In this in-depth review, I break down why I think it’s worth the price: 1️⃣ Durability - Built to last, the Norda 01 outshines competitors with incredible performance and resilience. 2️⃣ Aesthetics - It’s not just a shoe; it’s a statement. 3️⃣ Sustainability - Designed to replace 3 regular tra...

I ran Black Hills 100 based on its inclusion in a list like this...maybe Outside Mag?... Same for the Moab Trail Marathon. It's not an ultra, but it's a killer vibe and unbelievable course. It's also in November so can extend your "season" a little bit.

Congrats Scott! You’re gonna kill it! Hey you should do an episode on how to even plan your training for that amount volume and time on feet. What does 18wks look like? How much strength training vs running? What’s your go-to routine/process for recovery and avoiding injury? Help out us novices with lofty ambitions to run our own ultra one day!

I have the Satisfy 001 and the Regolith, and they are outstanding. I ran the Kullamanann 100 and one-third of the TDS in the same Satisfy pair, and they worked so well. I must be close to 1,000 miles in the Satisfy, and the tread is still there. However, I bought the NNormal Tomir 2 and put the 001 insoles into them, and I think I've found the perfect combo for me. Just like the Nordas, the Tomirs have a long break-in period, after which they work beautifully. The caveat is that they need the Norda insoles (or a similar compound) to achieve this. The difference for me is that the Tomir has more of a rocker, which gives more of a cruisey roll on the long stuff. The NNormal shoes are also built with sustainability in mind-in that once the midsole breaks in, it stays that way, just like the 001s. You can also resole the Tomirs at any shoe repair shop with the Megagrip Litebase. It’s almost splitting hairs, but I find myself reaching for the Tomirs more often than not.

Norda really needs to advertise that post break in feeling more. Once the shoe is fully broken in its just pure bliss. My pair is just slightly over 500 kms and its still feels as comfortable as when they were new. Easily my fav trail shoe ever. Its a shoe that definitely needs to be broken in first as I had terrible heel rubbing in my first 70 kms.

My goal is to raise my children, be there for them and be an actively engaged part of their lives! I know it won’t be easy, but it’s something I will focus on for at least 10-30 minutes per day. Great video, always good to be reminded to focus on process goals, not outcome goals. Sometimes outcomes are so far beyond our control it can almost feel impossible that things could ever change in a positive way, but by focusing on the process-especially when we know others are focused too-it makes it easier to stay cool calm and collected while taking care of the things over which we do have agency
