Thank you for this video! I didn't need the witch hazel but just tapped the flange all around with a small hammer and then twisted it off! Great tip!
Thank you for this! I did exactly what you did, and it worked! Yay!
Omg! Thank you sooooo much!!! I was at it for about 2 hours then I came to your video!!! I worked working 5 min!!!! Thank you!!!!!!
Just like everybody else, I couldn’t figure out how to separate the top flange from the bottom assembly. I came across your video and used it to separate the two items! Thank you so much for explaining it!
This was very helpful for me. Thank you very much. My drain was over 20 years old, but I did not need to use solvent or tap with a hammer. The flange was easy to remove once I learned that it was treaded.
It worked!! Thanks
Thank you. I’m so glad I found. Really helpful 😊🦋💕
THANK YOU so much !!! This was a life saver !! Took us a half an hour of searching before coming across this.
🎉 thank you for making this video.
Best DIY video by far … Simple, to the point, clear narration, loved the team work! Shout out to Grandma 😊. Thanks guys
Loved the teamwork!
Thank you! Saved my day, exactly what I was looking for.
I ended up just taking a Hacksaw to the drain pipe. Wastes too much time trying to get flange off.
Omg, thank you for this!!
2024 the two of you are my HEROS!!
HEY ! I WAS ABLE TO RAISE MINE UP FAR ENOUGH TO GRASP IT WITH CHANNEL LOCKS AND TURN IT LOSE BY ROTATING THE PIPE UNDERNEATH WITH OUT ANY WITCH HAZEL ETC.
THANKS, I TO THOUGHT IT WAS ONE PIECE, AND COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW THEY INSTALLED IT !
Omg you just saved my life! I was a bit skeptical with the witch hazel but I I had it, did it, and it worked! Thank you!!!
That is risky in a ceramic sink bowl. 2 channel locks would have been far more efficient.
Omg, this worked so well! This was the only video I found that told me exactly what I needed to do to get this part off. Thank you so much!
You guys saved my ass today thank you so much!!!
I could kiss both of yall right now lol yall just saved my life. It was the hammer that really did it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
This method works. It still took time and effort. My drain had been there 30 years. I had no witch hazel, but had good results with wd40 and vinegar.
OK, I needed to see that the top flange unscrews from the bottom pipe! That did the trick, Thanks!
Didn’t need the witch hazel but tapping on the flange with hammer worked like a champ!
Great video, this helped a lot.
Saving lives
Please get that woman AWAY from the microphone. 😅
3 years later, you video comes to the rescue after 45 minutes of trying with no luck. Light hammer tap was all I needed!!!
Yall get that nut loose . Is a dissolvent any way related to a solvent? 😂
Thanks for this! After an hour is soaked it down and just like magic it came right off!
I am loving these two and their video. Thank you so much. As a single woman who’s not afraid to get her hands dirty, I appreciate you. God Bless
This is w wonderful video, thank you. I only wish I would have seen what he was doing underneath while you were using the witch hazel. Anywho, I enjoyed the video and feel even more confident that i can do this.
This saved the day for us! Thank you! We actually didn't have witch hazel, but the idea of using a solvent got us thinking, so we used rubbing alcohol and then nail polish remover. It came off easy after that!
I used this technique today...thank you for the video. Worked like a charm, used wd40 and a few taps later, she came right apart.
Oh so yall are saving lives huh, I swear NO other video shows how to do this, the hammer worked like a charm!!!
OMG it's 4am and I watched your video... WOW thank you.. I thought it was one piece too
Life saver!! Thank you!!
Omg!! Thank you, I thought it was one piece too! I did it!!, thanks you you both, green alcohol

Good ideas, thank you, have a 40 years old bathroom sink.
It worked.😊
Omg! I cannot believe this worked. The next step was to saw it off. Thank you so much!
Thank you.
Wow! Thank you so much for this video. I’m very appreciative.
Man, did we struggle with this. UNTIL we came across your video. Thank you very much. All the brainstorming was just driving us nuts.
You guys saved my day! Thank you!
You sir are awesome couldn’t have worked any better. Way better way than cutting the pipe with a saw.
