Does anyone remember the Skateworks that used to be across the street next to Burrito Factory? Place was sick
In San jose?
@@guerrerosfun8806 Yeah, in San Jose. I used to go in there as a kid and they'd have skate videos playing on the t.v., always a fun time. Then they had Longs across the street. A hub for South San Jose skateboarders. kind of lol
@hushberger almaden theaters there used to be a skateshop but don't member the name
Happy 25th birthday louie!
people need tutorials on this? pretty common knowledge
I came here just to hear Louie chat, your voice and vibe is relaxing. :)
asmr
Dammit Louie, I gripped the wrong side because of you. You owe me a board!
slap it on there like you jessup himself.
I've been gripping boards for over 25 years and had never seen/heard of the screwdriver in the topsheet trick before. I guess an old skater can learn new tricks. Thanks Louie.
Thats funny because its how I grew up doing it! I actually cant imagine not doing it 😂
Which tool is that?
Ill add that if your doing hillbomb have a loose front and tight back Also f around with different bushings and premium pivot cups
Those nuts are so tight
Repost? I watched It yesterday!
Chris Haslam episode coming soon?
Why do you want that play? With washers on each side of the wheel, and a spacer in between the bearings, you can tighten the axle nut all the way down and the wheel will spin freely, as it should.
the pro sheep move -graphics on the inside . don't be a sheep , do your own thing .
Am I dumb for using both washers and no bearing spacer? lol
I came for louie
I am very particular on my wheel spacing... the way he explains it they'll all have the same gap and rattle to the wheels
Awesome! This was wheely helpful!
Hi I’m Louie I’m a torus
QUIT TALKING TO US SO CONDESCENDINGLY!!! YOU'RE NOT OUR MOTHER, DESPITE HAVING FACIAL HAIR LIKE MINE!!!
But how often should you rotate them?
🛹🛹🛹
I like to put a larger wheel on my back heel for better lock-in on smith grinds
*gasp* ur cheating!😅jk

Louie is a legend ❤
Where can I get that skate tool
You want a spacer between your bearings, and a solid connection if you don’t want to blow out your bearings and create unnecessary wear on there. You will roll slower initially till the bearings break in, but you don’t want play unless you have unlimited bearing supply from a sponsor
have never used spacers and have rarely had problems with my bearings...
Okay, but WHY do I want that little bit of play? 🤔 What does it change exactly?
Is the wheel graphics turned inside a aesthetic choice or does it actually affect skateboard performance???
depending on the wheel they have different cuts so they might have slightly different shapes on one side to the other. Some wheels are coned one way and flat the other for example. Spitfire Wheels have a lot of diagrams explaining this. Some skaters might want the graphic on the inside so they're riding the cones on the inside first, if the wheel is coned on the outside. It might help you lock in better while keeping stability on the outside for actually rolling around and stuff. plus it means you wear your "less worn" side down first, so when it gets coned on the outside your wheels are pretty equal both ways round. It's a good idea to look at your wheels every now and then and flip them, because they tend to wear on the outside much faster than the inside, which can lead to wheels being narrow on the outside and fat on the inside which is just kind of a weird feeling.
@OwensSkateStory ohhhhh I get it. But the concave/ cone shape turned inside and flat side on the outside is better for skateboard performance basically is what your saying? I got some OJ wheels with graphics side on the outside in my set up. So does that mean id have to take it apart and re arrange the bearings as well, if I want to set up the graphics side facing inside instead ?
If the wheel is symmetrical, then u're all good to flip it around .
@@eim1218 wait what? Lmao I thought if both side are same angle than it doesn't matter unless one side is more coned. So u turn that around- I get that . But I'm just talking about bearings. Cause bearings have a shield side with the logo on it and the other side with balls more exposed. So I'm asking if I have to take out and put the bearings in again since I'm gonna turn my wheels facing inward have wheel flat side facing outward.
@@DiamondFist320 nah bearings just spin, they don't matter what way they face. However it might be good to remove them and wipe any dirt from them with a paper towel to keep them spinning nicely. And to apply speed cream if you have any. Just make sure to use like half a drop, it's a crazy good lubricant and if you use too much it will actually gunk up your bearings and break them
What skate tool is that?
Looking at the other video where he builds the complete board, it looks like it comes with the push build a skateboard kit. Shame really because i personally would rather just buy that tool lol
Prime8 is the brand of tool
It’s made by Prime8 and is sold in many online shops
thanks LOuie i really enjoyed the show
Anything Louie is a must watch

Lou most people have a job w no insurance nowadays, love u
Man so many people are sad
My favorite thing Louie ever said was when someone interviewing him asked him what the difference was between an Enjoi tour and an Osiris tour was and he said, "on an Enjoi tour we have the same boards but different shoes, on an Osiris tour we have the same shoes but different boards".
We want you to release your 7.5 shape
