Is any of this necessary if there is a controller mapping configuration in game where you can directly map controller buttons to in game commands? Do you only need this Target config if for example your game takes a command from the 'W' key on your keyboard, but the game doesnt let you map that action directly to a button on your controller? As im otherwise struggling to understand the pupose of this software, thanks

The best part of this software is that it turns your switches "off" positions as another command. Effectively doubling the amount of commands you can use. I'm just starting to get the hang of it now, by realizing you have to do every button you're gonna use in the game, because it will remove the original assignments in the game and use just TARGET's assignment's. (for DCS anyway). Damn it's a long process, but highly worth doing. I have a question though, what are the five LED'S for near the friction setting of the Warthog throttle? I can turn them off and on but what function do they provide?

Oh man….you never made a follow up. I’m at my wits end. There thrustmaster throttle has a little joystick and I want to use it to look around in the cockpit but it won’t let me in dcs.

So does it support generic joystick, not just the ones from Thrustmaster?

So I'm trying to set up the buttons to do keyboard presses. To test, I just made the lower top button to be "C." After saving and running the profile, it doesn't work, even inside the TARGET event tester window. There's no input at all, even from the joystick axis'. In the Joystick Control Panel when I go in there and double click the joystick, none of the buttons or axis' are doing anything either. Waaaaat?

i am trying to do this now but the download buttons are not working none of them i just bought this piece of shit thing and already there support is failling

Is there a way to make the joyx and joyy into keys? The t16000 is what i have. I can make the top hat simulate keys like WASD but i want to make the entire sticks movement to simulate WASD

Please help! I have one arm. I just bought a used computer and the thrustmaster t16000m and I'm trying to make the target software to emulate the mouse XY on the joystick x y so I can play first person shooter games and the problem I'm having is when I turn to the left or the right with the joystick it looks back to where I started when the joystick returns to Center also it will not turn all the way around like it does with the mouse. It seems like there should be a setting for this but I have no idea what I'm doing. I have not played games since the first Halo NPC and I think that was about 12 or 15 years ago. I had to stop playing because all the games require two hands just like now but I'm hoping to get back into it

I'm having issues setting up my duelsticks. Target does not think my 16000 are connected. Also windows will not let me use thrusttmaster drivers. I'd appreciate any guidance you could give.

No idea how to actually play the game once the TARGET configuration is complete. If I've labelled a configuration "Test," for instance, shouldn't it be listed in the game's OPTIONS/Controls section?

thanks but im still having issue in ace combat 7 in event tester everything seems to work just fine but as soon as i get in to ace combat some buttons work some not at all and some do two functions like the one i mapped and the original function i have steam im going to try to map it there again but im stuck for now going to play with steam controller setting maybe that's it

Good vid! Would really appreciate some assistance from the community - I have now bought two NEW Warthogs (Throttle and Stick) for Win 10 PCs. First machine, tried everything - no joy. Read through Thrustmasters instructions, tried everything, but it would only ever recognise the throttle (in both device manager, controllers as well as the TARGET software). I spent hours trying everything I could. Could not upgrade firmware to both devices, either. Thinking it was a faulty stick I emailed Thrustmaster - good luck, they advice 15 days for a reply (insane!). However, enthusiasm to play MS Flight Sim 2020 overcame me, and I sent the the first unit back to Amazon and purchased again, directly, from Thrustmaster (yes, I know!). Poor comms but very quick delivery. And it still does not work! Same issues - on my first attempt at installing, my PC recognises both Throttle and Stick. I then updated tyhe firmware for both devices, and installed software, and again, onyl the throttle was recognised. Uninstalled the drivers, restarted machine, tried the same thing over and over, and it only recognised the throttle. Any ideas? Much appreciated it. Surely I can't have had two new duff Warthogs?

Thank you for that! Thanks to you this is now as simple as the old school Thrustmaster Attack Throttle Software. Was freaking lost for about a year trying to figure out how to use this software. I wish there was a way to integrate all Windows controllers to be seen and programmable in target.

I'm having problems with TARGETGUI loading. I had to disconnect the Thrustmaster joysticks and then reconnect afterward just to get TARGETGUI to run. Now that I have it running, and my devices are plugged in, there are no devices registered in TARGETGUI.

If you want to change a slider or ministick into a button. Is that possible?
