I tested and the reading came out 0.00. Not sure what's going on. It simply just clicks when I hold tone+straight then power. No red light, no display. Nothing.

My YAMAHA HTR 3066 Showing "DC PRT : 253H" error. Some times it's shows 249h, 252h errors. And shutdown after 3-4 seconds. What are the possible problems.. is it a capacitor leakage or any short ?

HI, on the off chance you are still helping, I have one and both fuses are blown, I do not have any spare so I have bridged them just to test the output until new ones arrive and I can see that the tops of a test sinewave are flat when the volume is hi. It's ok on the Master 2. could this have another problem ?

Oh yes appreciate that you put this up to help. but ugh.. that robo voice. My Yamaha HTR-5950 will power off seconds after powering it on, yes with a clicking sound near the power supply board. I unhooked all speakers, checked them all out. I put the receiver on the bench and took of the top, blew out the dust. The 2 8 amp 120v fuses looked good. I plugged it in w no speakers and it did the same thing. I'll try this I guess or not if it's not applicable. What else can I check? Good camera and graphics work for the most part though. 🙂

I opened my sony a77 after almost a year and it turned on then alpha logo showed and i had to set location and time zone , everything seems to be fine but after a few seconds it shut down and won't turn on,,i kept my camera without battery in a airtight box with some silica gel,, charged battery fully before using it,but it shut down and wont turning on,,when i turn on switch some red light is popping beside card slot and there is no information in display,,what could be the problem?

I have a red light but the LCD doesn't display I think the LCD burned out it has a burn mark on it.

My unit showed no resistance between the wires. I disassembled the transformer a little bit and retrieved the original fuse. It is labeled L7F TAM 250v 5A- 148 C for those interested. My model is the RX-V379 for reference. This fix did not work for me. I hooked the wires up directly without the fuse and it still would not power on.

Be careful not to overheat the thermal fuse while soldering ....

How on earth do you manage to put 1A through an XLR connector in the first place though? I suspect the fuses are there to pass the "your product will not catch fire if any input or output is connected to the mains" test or something like that. You won't get UL approval if your product acts as an incendiary device in any circumstances I believe. Its common to see fusible resistors and fuses added to prevent such failure modes. It may annoying to have to replace these things, but its less annoying than being burned alive because the unit exploded in flames...
