1. A kiss on the hand is still done by elderly people. The middle-aged and young ones consider it obsolete or even disgusting. 2. All statements about Poles reacting strangely to Blacks or Asians are bullshit. This was true 50 years ago. Nowadays, a person of a different skin color, eye shape or facial traits is absolutely normal to everybody in Poland, even in small villages. 3. "There are not many immigrants in Poland" is another piece if bullshit. A huge number of East Asians (mainly Vietnamese) found home in our country in 1990s, not to mention millions of Ukrainians living and working here (and I'm not talking only about refugees from 2022 as there were some 2 million Ukrainian workers in Poland still before the outbreak of the war). On top of that, a large number of Greek and Macedonian refugees were let into Poland in 1946. They assimilated perfectly and now we have a 4th generation of worthy citizens descending from those people. Immigrants looking for jobs and a decent life rather than benefits don't pass Poland by as they stand a good chance of finding both here. 4. Yes, it's true that we hate to be told by foreigners what to do in our own country. We were occupied, persecuted and exterminated by various enemies for too long in our history not to be allergic to this. 5. The Prague University is definitely NOT the oldest one in the world. The university in Bologna, Italy, founded in 1088 is the oldest. The university in Prague is the oldest in Central Europe closely followed by the one in Cracow. It's, however, true that Poles love studying. I would even say it's exaggerated as it's much easier now to find an M.A. in any domain that comes to your mind than a skilled and honest building contractor to refurbish your home.

So someone else has already posted the meaning of this song- refering to the division of Europe by the Iron Curtain/the Berlin Wall into two completely separate worlds. This particular performance was also strongly connected to Poland itself- up until recently we had a conservative government which, while supported by half of the society, was hated by the other half. It's a pretty similar situation to the Republican/Democrat party in the US. The division was palpable, you could feel Poland being literally separated in two halves by different ideologies. The lyrics about "right side shining with neons, left side all dark/ left side never wakes up, right side never goes to sleep" were matching perfectly the current situation.
