Aloha, this is a great channel it's been a year or two since I saw this channel I'm still on iOS and have always been looking to get into graphene OS but haven't made the switch yet. I was wondering what is the emergency call feature like holding power button and volume or clicking 5 times. I hope you do more graphene OS teachings. Thank you as always.

I have a very specific question regarding Contacts (Email, phone numbers, addresses, etc) in GrapheneOS.....specifically, how does one IMPORT contacts from Android? on my Android 14 Google phone, I have hundreds of contacts. I bought a used Pixel 6 Pro and did a fresh install of GrapheneOS yesterday, and everything seemed to work perfectly, but now I'm lost as to how to import thos Android contacts from my other Android 14 phone. I surely don't need to manually enter them one by one? I tried installing (temproarily) the Sandboxed Google Play / Services etc to install Textra and import my contacts from Google, but that was also not successful, so I uninstalled the Google Play / Services again. Sitting here with an empty Contacts apps, and feeling a little sorry for myself! :-) Can anyone give me some pointers? I saw an old Reddit that said that the GrapheneOS SMS app has an Import function but I don;t see it on yesterday's Raven distribution after I installed. HELP! 🙂

Why does GrapheneOS still have no proper firewall to replace root solutions like awesome AFWall+? Current so-called-firewall of GrapheneOS is a joke, completely not flexible.

When I added the second IP, and ask it to connect to it, the IP address did not change. I have the Slate AX. I would appreciate suggestions.

I have installed Graphene recently and I love it!

Privacy noob here, sorry! Question......I don't have a Pixel to run GrapheneOS YET (but is planned!).....so with a Motorola Thinkphone running Android14, I tried to NOT install Google but the Android new phone setup process (I did a full factory reset to start fresh) REQUIRES that Google is setup as part of the initial setup process. Is this a given with Android 14 or is there a way to install those more private Play Stores without the Google Play Store? Excuse my ignorance! PS Thanks for the walkthrough of your apps....this is VERY useful for me! Subbed and Liked and video saved on YT (yes, I know....YT!!)

If only it was this easy for me. I've been trying to turn on ADP for a week. I've updated all my devices, signed everything in again, generated new keys, re authenticated everything......nothing works. I keep getting a 'server error please try again later' message. Turning on a simple feature shouldn't be this difficult, and I'm about to give up from even using iCloud as a result anyway.

I don't really see the point of ensuring the mic and camera are always off when using such a secure and private os like graphene. Seems unnecessary imo. I tried doing it but it's just annoying have to turn them back on everytime i need to use either

I guess I only have myself to blame really; but I watched 5+ long videos about GrapheneOS and installation walkthroughs, and I guess I still somehow just missed the memo to make sure your phone is COMPLETELY BACKED UP (PHOTOS, files, anything that you would lose if you could push one “wipe phone” button on your phone). Do not do a single step of installing GrapheneOS, before making sure you haven’t forgotten to backup EVERYTHING. RIP Dad, RIP Lily, RIP Patches; a year of saving things through pictures and screenshots gone, a year of a lot of photos of myself that now, I just won’t have a year of my life to be able to reference or look back at; just a year that I’ll pretend I was blackout drunk literally every day, because I literally have no other way of verifying that that year even happened tbh. Poof. RIP me

Hi, stumbled over your video and first of all, thx for this one. Sadly, I checked my setup along the one on your mobile as you showed. have the same setup but my signal installation is ending up in the 50% battery usage area, not in the low double digit as you do have. Any further hints? BTW, I moved to GrapheneOS nearly two years ago on a freshly bought Google Pixel 6a and I never, ever missed anything and will always do it again.

If my phone die with aegis installed in, but i have a backup somewhere safe. On my new phone i will need to log in my google account to download aegis on the play store right? But how to log in if I can't download aegis?

I love Organic Maps. I use it completely off-line with excellent search results. Oh, and the graphics are so pleasant... Loaded via F-Droid. -- in EU no less.

A profile for Banking apps is in my mind no good idea. It happened to me before that someone copied my debit card and in the middle of the night I got a million messages from my banking app. Someone used my card data and paid 10 to 20 USD online. So I woke up, looked, blocked the card and reported it to my bank. If this would have been a different profile, I would never have received the push messages from the app. The profile for social media is a good idea. To bad my pixel doesn't have profile and it is to old for grapheneos.
