Popular street food dishes include:
Pad Thai: Stir-fried rice noodles with eggs, tofu, shrimp, and a tangy tamarind-based sauce.
Som Tum: Green papaya salad with a spicy, tangy, and slightly sweet dressing.
Moo Ping: Grilled pork skewers often served with sticky rice.
Khao Man Gai: Thai-style chicken rice, served with a flavorful ginger sauce.
Mango Sticky Rice: Sweet sticky rice with ripe mango and coconut milk.
Bangkok also boasts world-class fine dining:
Michelin-starred restaurants like Gaggan Anand (modern Indian cuisine with a twist) and Raan Jay Fai (famous for her crab omelets).
Restaurants offering traditional Thai flavors in upscale settings, like Nahm and Sorn.

Ultimate Traditional Bulgarian Food Tour in Sofia!
Переглядів 8 тис.4 місяці тому
I'm making my way around the city center of Sophia to try the best Traditional Bulgarian food. I used ChatGPT to recommend restaurants or cafes to eat at for this food tour. It led me to some amazing places, but the last one it recommended was a longer walk than I expected so I looked up a nearby place to try Shopska salad. I'm glad I found this restaurant! It was my favorite part of the food t...

Haha 😂 It's not bad 👍 Thanks for watching 🙏
Dude ask someone who not a merchant most of them barely understand just ask some salarymen or someone who look well educated they know English and most of merchants in local markets sometimes they understand just numbers and some kindergarten vocabulary in English so google is a good idea. also instead of authentic just say “ Original Thai Food “ instead it’s simple and understandable.
First one is look ok . Second one look not so good 😅 I can tell. Third one look nice.
It was all pretty good, but you're right 👍 Thanks for watching 🙏
if you want to feel like local, please try spoon to eat it'll be better.

Summer salad is freshly olives oil good
Mixing the cols soup and the salad was disgusting!
Oops 😬
You should eat the "banitsa + boza" in the same manner as the "rakia + shopska salad": you take a bite of banitsa and after that, while you're munching on that bite, you sip from the bottle of boza. It is the common way of doing this, but it's not mandatory at all. After several years of doing this routine everyone finds his own way and pace... and manages to finish off both parts of it simultaineously. It's nothing special, like every food related routine in the world. Welcome to Bulgaria and... да ти е вкусно!
Thank you! Thanks for watching 🙏
❤
Thanks for watching!
dude dont ask chatgpt, there are way way better banitza places than that
Yes, I ate some others that were better. It was a fun experiment overall and I enjoyed the food. Glad I found the restaurant in the end 👍 Thanks for watching 🙏
boza rules and is the proper drink to go with banitza
It wasn't bad 👍
I recommend you try the classic mekitsa dusted in powdered sugar, or if you prefer savory, pair it with traditional Bulgarian white cheese (Sirene). As they say old but gold. Jams, creams, Nutella, or other sweet and savory options are good too but I find the simplest ways the best as you can fully enjoy the oily fluffy/crunchy pastry dough. For the banitsa next time don't ask AI but walk around the city. We have plenty of small bakeries right by the street and often the small and not eye-catching ones offer the best pastries. A good banitsa can be eaten both hot or cold depending on mood and it's like a universal Bulgarian snack for breakfast, lunch, or even dinner. I am not a huge fan of the Sirene and spinach combination and prefer only Sirene or the sweet options - pumpkin/apple with walnuts. As for the tradition of hiding a coin in banitsa or ritual bread, the idea is that whoever gets the coin will be rich, healthy, and lucky for the whole year. The boza is a very traditional drink and long ago it was served the way they serve you a good beer, filling a mug from a larger container. It could be sweeter or slightly more saur depending on your preference and choice. Nowadays you can only find it in bottles and different brands taste different. Some are good, some not so much. The saleslady didn't lie and from what I have seen browsing UA-cam, most foreigners don't like it at all. You enjoying it was surprising but as it's one of my favorite drinks it was a pleasant surprise. By the way, it has a very low alcoholic content of about 0.5 or 1%. The name of the restaurant you went to was Raketa (Rocket in Bulgarian). Never been there but I was impressed by the waiter. His pointers were valid. Indeed, nowadays everyone preaches virgin olive oil but traditionally in Bulgaria we use sunflower oil instead. It's a matter of preference and I personally can't understand the appeal of olive oil for I find the taste a bit overpowering. The dishes looked nice and the Gipsy Banitsa is a very traditional, old-fashioned, and childhood thing. Next time if you are not vegetarian you should try some filling dishes like kavarma (resembles a stew with cubes of meat in it), moussaka (potato and ground meat dish), or grilled meat stuff (meatballs, kebapche, etc). Other traditional Bulgarian foods I suggest are kapama (a winter dish with pickled cabbage and different types of meat cooked in a ceramic pot), imam bayalda (have no idea how to type it in English as the name is actually Turkish, but it's a baked hollowed half eggplant filled with the inside of the eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, and sometimes cheese), or mishmash (a pan cooked mixture of mostly tomatoes and peppers with some Sirene and scrambled egg too).
@yaonyaon9460 wow thank you for your comment. Enjoy your day! Thanks for watching 🙏
Thank you .. good luck in all your future endeavours ❤
@@RaviSingh-cr9mo thank you so much and thanks for watching 🙏
The Tarator that you eat its cold soup , and very common to eat in the summer for refreshing in the hot summer days , if you come again in Bulgaria try tripe soup with beer best thing after heavy night with drinking
I'll be sure to try it! Thanks for watching 🙏
U need to try pasembor in padang kota at Esplanade Park,Penang...that is hotspot 'Pasembor' so delicious 😋👍
Next time!
The place you ate the banitsa is definitely not the best one
It was pretty good still, but yes. I had better while we were there. Thanks for watching!
Before you decide to drink BOZA make sure you know where the toilet is located, because SOMETIMES the body reacts unpredictably, it is part of every day life
Haha! I was slightly concerned about that. Good to know 👍 Thanks for watching!
If the banica is cold, don’t buy it, it means it is not good and the place is not busy, find another store in Google 🙂
U must talk less n eat faster because I feel bored
Talk less, eat more. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching 🙏
The sauce in assam laksa is prawn paste.
Ah good to know 👍 Thanks for clarifying and thanks for watching 🙏
It`s criminal this woman giving you banica with spinach and not the normal one with cheese...and giving you boza and not ayran! That`s insane
I knew it wasn't necessarily traditional but I went with her recommendation. It was still pretty good 👍 Thanks for watching!
@@WorldFoodTour-wft Haha I just hate banica with spinach and love banica with cheese.I don`t hate boza but can`t even compare to ayran :D that`s all.I am still glad you liked it
Completely disagree! Banitsa with spinach is just as authentic as the cheese one. Also, boza is a must try, even if it is not the go-to option for most. It pairs well with banitsa
First a sip of rakia then the salad/tarator,rakia is good combo with both.
Yes! It was good 👍 Thanks for watching!
@WorldFoodTour-wft drinking rakia is always first bcz the salad will remove the "burning" from the rakia.
Нито мекицата е българска нито мусаката ,баничката,бозата ,таратор,сарми
Where is it from?
MAKANAN Indonesia 🙏😁👍💪💯 good luch
Thanks for watching 🙏
No need to show mouth eating...not professional looking
Ok. Thanks for the feedback. Thanks for watching!
Semangat bro❤😊
Thanks for watching!
Always spell "C" with "-ch" not"-k". Like you spell Chinese, chess, cheese
Good to know 👍 Thanks for watching! 🙏
Fantastic food vlog! The Char Kway Teow looks delicious!
It was! Thanks for watching 🙏
It's Sofia not Sophia...
Thanks 🙏 I updated
Musiknya Sunda banget❤
Thanks for watching 🙏
Guy in rakia bar was good, he told to take a sip of rakia, let it in and after to eat from the salad. By this way rakia's strong and warm taste mix and with the calming freshness of vegetables, olive oil and cheese. It's like a poem, if you do it right ;)
I think I did it right, it was so good! Thanks for watching 🙏
lol, there's always room for dessert
Always! 😂
For more food you can go to Jakarta, you can taste the variation of food there
Thanks for watching 🙏
restaurant sundanese food
I Like the background music, which is Sundanese (west Javanese) instrumental music, give you soothing and calm feeling, specially if the restaurant has rice paddy view or facing rice paddy.
It added to the vibe 👍 I liked it
Buset banyak aman menu nya😮 mantap moga cocok disantap nya👍
I enjoyed it 👍 Thanks for watching 🙏
OhmyGod...is amazing backsound..suling & gamelan sundanese..👍🙏
