@@JAM-vu3ol it changes the way the suspension geometry works assuming you keep arm length the same. Test different options if you can!

The ESC has reverse polarity protection, but the capacitor is connected to battery voltage directly (to make it work efficiently and effectively) so if you connect the battery terminals in reverse the capacitor is instantly dead. Change the capacitor and everything should work perfectly. FYI if you do kill a capacitor and continue running it, you will do damage to the ESC and could have bigger problems with battery damage or fire etc.

It changes the initial corner entry and exit behaviour. On it's own it is ok, but when you thune the whole car to utilise it, it becomes game-changing.

I'm sure you could, but I really wouldn't. The benefit of a wheel like this is the rigidity leading to constant precision without deforming to change how your inputs effect control. The time it takes to adjust to all aluminium is minimal and after more than a decade since I made the switch I HATE how loose foam wheels feel. Make the switch and try and get used to it - and thank me later! :D

S Bus is the protocol that allows communication between receiver/transmitter and the ESC/servo and can be used with the correct radio and receiver to tune the ESC and monitor telemetry. TAO 3 is the device in this video that connects to the ESC and allows tuning and saving of settings. Both do similar things but I use both. TAO 3 allows saving of settings for different tracks etc but you can just use the S bus adaptor and connect via the radio then take photos of the settings but this is less organised and harder to find the settings you were happy with after a significant period of time etc.

@@adrianchung8719 yes. TAO3 allows you to save settings and the quick settings feature can help if you need a fresh idea at a new circuit. I still use mine all the time despite having a bus and 10PX

It will depend on your setup. You can also mount on the opposite side. I prefer Acuvance ESCs so you can easily change rotation direction if needed

I carry a full but minimal setup. I bring tools, batteries and some very basic spares including shock oil. Lipos in hand luggage, everything else checked in and well packed.

Yes you can, but you should contact them to check they are open on the day you want to attend and check the status with tyres. They require you to use a control tyre and I believe they just restocked but you will not be able to run without the right tyre. I believe they only allow RWD cars now and not 4WD but I could be mistaken.

D5S is fine for an entry level kit but these days I'd take an RDX, RMX, MRX, GALM, YD2, RD2.0 or even a Redcat over one personally. I know some guys that really like theirs but for me they are not in the same league as those I mentioned. Anything Yeah Racing is a big thumbs down for me, any time I have to help someone with their parts they are full of flaws. I'd rather have a TT01 with an MRC conversion than any YR parts but woul;dnt be considering any Tamiya kits for Drifting unless it was a 3rd or 4th chassis. The ones I mentioned at the start of this comment will take you further with the hobby at a better pace with more enjoyment. Nothing wrong with playing around with other chassis at all, but unless you really know what you are doing it's hard to suggest it without sending someone down a path of frustration.

If you’re following this guide, chances are you need to use a different microsd card. Which one are you using?

It would depend where it is required most. I currently don’t run a fan on either and have intense settings. I monitor temps via my radio. If my motor got hotter due to gearing or driving style, I’d run a fan on the motor. If the ESC got hotter I’d run a fan on the ESC

I believe that’s the one many used. A simple plate with standoffs works fine but the Shibata option part works perfectly if you can source one

Not really worth buying a whole New Set of Collars, just for 4 tiny screws. That makes absolutely no sense. Luckily, I found replacements that fit off of Amazon. If anyone needs replacements, lmk..

That's very true @@Zaggerton - usually people need the screws because they overtightened them and snapped them off in the collars, so they are usually also required.

People say this a lot but you can build a GALM for the same money as other brands… just if you buy all options it gets expensive. I’ve had my GALM for 5 years and could have spent much more money changing chassis all the time! You get what you pay for imho

It was a solid chassis but limited in where I could take it compared to other chassis so I sold it a while back. I like them for sure but GALM is my go to option every time so other chassis usually do not stick around too long!
