Waimea Canyon Kauai l Hiking to Awa'awapuhi trailhead
Today I found my love of Kaua’i!
An incredible 12k ridge hike through the Waimea Canyon to the Awa’awapuhi trailhead. The sheer drops down to the ocean were mind blowing and this old volcanic landscape was incredible.
The hike is there and back route from the Awa’awapuhi trail car park. It is 600m of elevation difference with downhill for the first 5 k and then uphill for the return.
The route is quite slippery if there has been rain, and there is a lot of potential exposure at the trailhead, especially if you want the best views.
Most of the hike is through cool temperate forest, only the far end of the trail is where the views are. But it is a really wonderful route, and serves as an excellent destination for visiting the state park.
Enjoy the view ⛰️📸🌴🚁

Zip Lining in Fiji

This is as fun as it looks! An amazing way to see above the treetops in Fiji, on the super cool Zip Fiji course! A special thanks to the amazing team of guides who were so friendly, chatty, helpful and fun company to be with. But real star was my “personal cameraman” Bar, who took hold of my phone and made some of this spiderman footage you see this reel! #zipline
I climb the only Via Ferrata in New Zealand | Wildwire Wanaka
Переглядів 3066 місяців тому
Welcome to Wildwire Wanaka, the only Via Ferrata climb in New Zealand. This guided course is about 500m in elevation and takes you pretty much straight up 3 waterfalls. There are 6 bridges along the route and a variety of different sections. The course is nicely designed with an easy start and then a slightly more difficult middle section, I would rate it around a K3 level. The guided nature of...
My first helicopter flight | Wanaka to Mount Aspiring National Park, New Zealand (4K)
Переглядів 2306 місяців тому
As part of my world trip, I really wanted to see the New Zealand alps from above. My previous 2 attempts to fly around Mount Cook (from Franz Josef) were cancelled due to bad weather, but luckily a brief weather window opened to get me airborne from Wanaka and fly up into the Mount Aspiring National Park. Due to that same weather front we were not able to fly around Mount Aspiring, but it was s...
Tongariro Alpine Crossing | Is it the best day hike in the world? (4K)
Переглядів 1727 місяців тому
This was a legendary hike on my wish list, and it lived up to my expectations in every way. The Tongariro Alpine Crossing in New Zealand's North Island is a 1-way 19.4km hike across Mt Tongariro National Park, taking in South and Red Craters, along with the Emerald and Blue Lakes. It is 9km of ascent, and 10.5km of descent. The hike will take between 5-8 hours to complete, and should be planned...
Jet Boating at Huka Falls

Amazing ride at 100km/h along the Waikato river at Huka Falls, near Taupō. This amazing waterfall is about 3km down stream from the huge lake, and therefore has clear water flowing into it, giving it its iridescent blue colour. An amazing experience, just prepare to get a little wet!!
MADEIRA in 4k | where the Atlantic Ocean has shaped a volcanic landscape

Madeira is an island of amazing variety in such a short distance. You go from Vietnam to Hawaii to Ireland to Tenerife to Cornwall, all in the space of just a few kilometres. PR1 Madeira | one of the most spectacular hikes in the world (4K)
Переглядів 6 тис.8 місяців тому
Welcome to the volcanic island of Madeira. I just completed a long held dream to hike one of the best hikes in the world. The PR1 hike is the most famous and without doubt, the most spectacular hike on the island (although there are plenty of other ones that are incredible). This 14.5km hike takes you from Pico Arieiro to Pico Ruivo and back again, across an extraordinary ridge traverse of ups ...

Winter magic from above the Swiss Jura

So, I have a drone! And what better way to test it out than to find a bit of the recently arrived winter weather.... up to the Jura above St Cergue for this little video. Time to feel a little bit festive, especially if you remember a certain animated cartoon! Enjoy!

Yes you can. Very easily!
Hi! Can I climb Wildwire Wanaka via ferrata without a guide if I'm experience climber and I have all equipment?
@@LUXImtb no. It’s a private course so it is guided tours only.
@@adeeyp Do they have private mountains? I don't think so. They can't do anything if they catch me because it's not private property...
Opět super video záběry, z dronu to zase vypadá jinak, byl jsem v roce 2017 a rád se vrátím, nejkrásnější ostrov
Thank you for shooting and sharing this video!
@@PierSilver you are welcome!
Hello! Is it possible to just get there and rent climbing equipment to do it on our own? Or would you recommend getting a guide?
If it is your first via ferrata, i would get a guide. I have a more detailed guide on my website.. www.viaferratadatabase.com/diavolo
Velmi nádherné video, takto si představuji vysokohorskou turistiku
Thank you
Stunning 😍
@@NemieShakingson 🙏 thank you… it really is a wonderful hike
what a beautiful scenery.
@@GesunddurchWissen it is a really stunning hike!
it was fun.
great video ! how to get back to your car ?
@@TheFlyingDutchMan8K hello, this was all done with public transport. If you took the car it would be much more challenging as required a long loop, or a long public transport connection back to the start.
@@adeeyp ok thanks
Wow cool video! I’m planning to do this one soon with some friends. Would you recommend for beginners? Are there any difficult passages that weren’t in the film? Thanks! Ben :)
Hi, a few tricky sections in the 2nd part of the course that require a bit of arm strength and balance but nothing too tough. If you are unsure have a look at the Bergsteigen topo plan of the course.
The section at 1:39 is probably the toughest part
We hike a lot. This is one of the most stunning hikes we ever did. Back and forth it took us about 10 hours (in 2019 we were at the age of 60 and 56). Very tired but.....wow!!!!!
Well done! 👏💪
cool vid!
amazing!
Stunning in its visuals, epic in its scale and hypnotic in its beauty Adrian has created something truly wonderful here in his "Around the World in 80 Days." I highly recommend brewing a nice cup of tea or pouring your favorite glass of wine, settling back in front of a large-screen TV (4K if you can) and relaxing as these brilliant and often breathtaking visuals wash over you. In sharing your voyage with the world, you have given us all a tremendous gift. Well Done and Thank You Adrian!
Did you go with the china travel company? If so, would you recommend? I cant find any reviews anywhere. Video is great
Yes I did. It was really well organized. You have a tour guide at each place to “guide” you all the way. Was a stress-free way to see the sights.
Keep up the good work. Going to see all the videos on you channel. Stunning scenes with professional photographer.
The most beautiful travel video I ever seen on UA-cam. Thanks from Pakistan.❤
Thank you! Very kind of you to think this.
First Comment: This video will have millions of views soon. Like if you agree 👍
Question: Co you need climbing gear? Is there a climbing section?
Not really. Just usual hiking equipment, provisions and well gripped shoes
@@adeeyp thank you!
Very beautiful natural scenery and excellent photography congratulations 👌
Thank you so much 😀
How far is that distance?
Hello, if you do it 1 way it is 8.5km
'Promosm' 💦
Simply breathtaking scenery my friend, these shots are just amazing!
Thank you sir for your kind words! The scenery does the heavy lifting that is for sure!
Awesome. This looks super fun. Thank you.
It was as good as it looks!
Is this trail open for hiking dueing mid june ?
Should be
Beautiful. I've been to Zermatt but want to go back. Any idea what the name of the small lake at 2.00 is?
Sure, its the Theodolgletschersee, it is right next to TrocknerSteg cable car station, no more than 5 mins walk.
Magnifique
How can I go from Cervinia to Milan in Italy? I will go to Switzerland from Milan and I want to return to Milan in this ride.
If I understand, the Express 1 needed the passengers to have skis and Express II can take "walkers"? And is Express II active or not yet because on the official website they are still saying "only ski" to go to Cervinia
I will travel to Turin in April and would sleep one night in Cervinia just to take this cable car to Zermatt and back. The Matterhorn is on my bucket list for the last 10 years
Great plan! I hope the skies are clear for you!
@@adeeyp Thanks, yes I hope it will be a sunny Spring day
@jeffmerheb3182 May I know where do you get the tickets from Cervinia ?
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing. What month did you go there? Thank you.
Thanks! It was in late June
Dear <Adrian Pittaway>, I am writing to inquire about your permission to use your video clip. This is <Talkpawon 25hrs>, the Korean TV show which is broadcasted on JTBC (Korean TV channel). With your permission, I'd like to use your video clip to introduce unique funicular railway in Switzerland. It will be broadcasted at 9PM on 18 December 2023. Thank you for your kind attention and look forward to hearing from you.
salut!you made super content~peace out!
I appreciate that. Thank you!
Cool!
nice soundtrack!
It took a bit of editing!
Would you advice someone to do this to get rid of their fear of heights? A healthy human fear of heights... Or is this to big of a shock for the body to function properly?
Hi, no I don’t. There are other via ferratas much less challenging than this one to attempt first if you have a fear of heights. This one really has the extreme vertigo challenge and because there is no escape, its needs full confidence before the start is even considered. I would go to climbing gyms as a great place to start on self-rappel walls. Much safer and less challenging.
Sympa :)
Merci!
Great video- which station did you get off to go to the lake??
Trockener Steg. I hiked from there to Schwarzsee using the path via Furggsee.
@adeeyp thank u so much - will follow and copy your trail 👣 😊
beautiful pictures and what a great ride!
Thanks, it is one of the best cable car trips you can do
Amazing!!! Well done
🥷
Absolutely beautiful shots. I tried to do something when I was in switzerland for a hiking holiday but ran out of videos like 30s into the edit haha
Next time then!
Hello, how can I contact you by email? I'd like to ask to use a couple of seconds of your video for an independent amateur documentary? Thanks.
I would love to do this hike someday, it’s looks amazing.. thanks for sharing ☺️
Its a good one!
on my bucket list for sure. Thank you for the preview. 💚
Interesting! the wooden walkways must be fun ! Didn't expect such exposure
Yes, its a great route!
I did that one last week, didnt know its the longest, though I didnt find it difficult. It was an easy trail except one passage on the east side on one cliff traverse where the rope was very loose (hanging below your knees level). Seeing on your vid, it seems it wasnt the case back then
I agree with you, had the same issue on that moment. Its the section rated B/C. I was staring at the rockface on this moment so didn’t get it nicely on film!
@@adeeyp you think the rope was intentionally that loose? For me it seemed more like it just wasnt well maintained. At one point the rope's end was just not fixed to the ground and the bolt was just laying there
@@m.hoffman2889 no that doesn’t sound correct, and should be reported to the responsible listed on the info board at the start.
@@adeeyp I checked with Belalp tourism and they stated that its already repaired and all good now 👍
Well done!
Thank you!
