For me, the most important thing in a Harback is the quality of the spine, so how would you describe the spine ? Is it solid or will it break ?

I have a collectors edition. It had rough edges like old book. Yellowcream pages. I think it's on purpose. It's from district not capital.😂

Amazon deal I got these books for £43 compared to the near £70 think it's a much more reasonable price for 4 books, they look nice but def not worth 70, best to get them near the 40 mark.

I have 50 pages left to read and will finish it in the morning. After a long spell of not reading this has me back on track. I only got it as the bookseller recommended it, and I love it.

Hey, I know this is a quite a late comment. But if you don’t mind responding, why are all these editions much shorter than the penguin classics? Like 100 pages less at times. All the best

Needed this review because I learnt just TODAY about this publisher and their designs for these classics! Only because i was browsing for notebooks online and came across the matching notebooks that compliment these books. So now I may have to get the novel and notebook sets, and eat noodles for weeks. This will be my 3rd copy of Pride and Prejudice haha!

7:15 His full name is Nick Chopper, the Tin Woodman. I think the Nick Chopper part of the name is only revealed in the sequels, but he's consistently called "the Tin Woodman" and "the Woodman" throughout the book. I think there are two uses of "tin man" as well, but they are lowercase, indicating that it's just a decriptor rather than a name that the Woodman goes by. As a huge fan of the books (I actually heard the first book before I even knew the movie existed, if you can even imagine that), it actually grated on my ears a bit whenever I heard the general pop culture calling him "the Tin Man" everywhere. It always sounded incomplete. I've grown more used to it over the years, and it doesn't bother me as much anymore, but every once in awhile I'll still get weird looks from folks whenever I make a Wizard of Oz reference and casually mention "the Tin Woodman." Half the time, those folks will say "He's not made of tin and wood, he's just made of tin," and I'll say, "no, it's not Wood Man, it's Woodman, like lumberjack." It's very funny.
