Recap of my recent vacation in Banner Elk, North Carolina! Banner Elk is a popular getaway near Boone in the Blue Ridge Mountains of the North Carolina High Country. It’s a place that blends small town relaxation with the amenities of a larger city.
Here are some of the attractions shown in the video:
- Grandfather Mountain: Mile High Swinging Bridge & Wildlife Habitat
- Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster: The coaster has a 3,160 foot long track that reaches up to 27 mph at the control of the rider. There is also a rope’s course here.
- Downtown Banner Elk: We dined at Sorrento’s (Italian), Banner Elk Cafe (Italian + American) and Stonewalls (delicious steak & seafood)
Other Restaurants:
- Luna Thai & Sushi
- Pedalin’ Pig
Other things you can do:
- Visit Blowing Rock for shopping & restaurants
- Beech Mountain Ski Lift to 5506’ restaurant
- Banner Elk Winery
- Apple Hill Alpaca Farm
- Horseback riding, river rafting, zip lining, four-wheeling

Thank you! We booked the excursions around four months ahead of time which I recommend because things can get booked.

Croatia is such a beautiful country. We love split and the dalmatian coastline, the islands are beautiful but not accessible from a cruise.
I’m doing this cruise next week but with Santorini instead of Athens.

Great vid! We are also going this July 30 with the same itinerary. Wondering what was your experience disembarking? Any recommendations how to get off the port going to the airport? Thanks!
We flew out of Bologna because it was the closest airport and we hired a private taxi since we were a group of 6. The cruise line does arrange motor coach transportation to the airport and train station. Passengers are given a number depending on your flight arrangements for the transportation so everything is very well organized. The website has all of the options for disembarking too. Hope you have a wonderful cruise!
@@Isabellefarah4 was the port difficult to find in Ravenna? (Since I assume you flying in and out of bologna, that’s where you embarked from) My fiancé and I will be flying into bologna for our honeymoon in October for a cruise on the explorer of the seas so any tips you can provide for day of boarding would be super awesome! 😊
@@newmyster8839 Hi! Since we were a group of 6 we rented a private taxi to take us and we had no issues finding the port. Royal also provides you a designated time to embark the ship to make the process as smooth as possible. Hope you have a wonderful trip!
