For those wondering, this is Community Bible Church in San Antonio, Texas. The Pastor is Dr. Ed Newton. My father had the privilege for a number of years to pastor a satellite campus of this church in College Station, Texas. It's a fantastic congregation that my grandparents faithfully attended for years. "Mega" in scale, but so genuine in practice.

Who is this Pastor? I love his preaching. So sincere and real.

He is a preacher of God . He's showed the same calmness and compassion as Jesus did in the beginning of his ministry❤️❤️

So there are so many messages that people can relate to this message! I don’t come to tears for every sermon that I watch but when the Holy Spirit moves something inside of us can feel it to the core. Thank you for allowing that connection to come through in this message! This also relates in my life right now because I am a recovering addict and the message I heard earlier was about leaving the 99 for the one, and then I open this sermon and hear it again. Like Jesus is reaffirming that I am also the one that he has come to save! This is powerful!

I have to ad a comment and not just as a brother in Christ. I'm an LAPD cop who has spent the bulk of 20 years primarily working Transient Details and Hype Cars (drug users). From a professional perspective? This pastor simply could NOT have handled this situation in a more OUTSTANDING fashion. And as a fellow brother, I could not be more proud. After watching this, it made my chest well up with pride for the church.

Only in America, I've been a Christian all alone since 2007 had many troubles and faced them all alone. It hurts to see this as I question the lord why am I doing this all alone what are you teaching me? Fair play to Anthony I hope he turned his life around. Here In the UK many a Christian turn their noses up at the underprivileged which is so not Christ like at all. Unfortunately I am still lost and walking this Chris tian walk all alone it seems many so called Christians don't want to know or even help me😢

I seem to be in something of a minority here but wouldn't it have been better to see the Pastor demonstrate to his congregation how to effectively present the gospel to Anthony and then led him to Christ. The congregation's readiness to throw money at the individual and the pastor's indecision in knowing what to do next seems, to me at any rate, to demonstrate a profound ignorance of what the man's real need is - i.e. salvation. Vance Havner once said, "If someone had given the prodigal son a bed and a hot meal he never would have made his way back to the Father." As the saying goes, 'You don't clean fish before you catch them.' What shall it profit Anthony if he gets free of all his addictions and sorts his life out only to ultimately lose his own soul? The bible says that there is joy in the presence of the angels over one sinner that repents - maybe we should take our cue from the Word of God :)

Every one should reverent the house of God.

"Are you homeless?" "Yeah" "...." If he isnt sleeping in your house tonight how can you be Christian? 1 john 3:17 The real church is acts 4:31-35 But somehow cussing is the sin?

Michael is the perfect example for EVERYONE who calls themselves a Christian! We may not be able to house a homeless person, but we can bless them with food or money. But with the money, use discernment. If they smell like alcohol or if you notice drug use, us giving them money will only help them further in their problems.

It's really easy to break the habit and become offended from hearing others cussing.

This is the personification of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:30-35 If the church service doesn't translate this verse, so why are we still going to church? What is in a church service that make us have that compromisse with religion, that when there is a way do fulfill the scripture, we just chose what needs less effort?

Come on, all these “mega church televangelist” people are con-artists and y’all know it😂

This is what it's all about. I LOVE seeing churches personify the phrase, "The church isn't a building, it's a people."

I have never seen a church, especially mega church, actually do this. This is what we should all do

Come on. Come on. This isn’t a real pastor or how to handle this. Applause doesn’t equal biblical. 1:1 you do correct them. It’s not about sensitivity. It’s about proper teaching. When somebody came up you get elders or prayer team. That was correct. See what they need. People going up for other things - pride. Just sit down and preach the Bible. Michael didn’t preach the message. You don’t make the worship about a person other than Christ. Pastor doesn’t even know he’s been coming for a year or since college? Oh well that’s a problem. More problems. Difficult situation.

Love takes care of all of it. There's no work we need to do but let Love in.💓

I’m not a fan of mega churches and definitely not a fan of churches with instruments. I haven’t finished the video but so far it’s going decent

God moves in incredible ways, and I am so thankful that our Lord God sent him that man to save his life, before he lost it without Jesus in it. All glory to our Lord God, who saw and knew what this man needed, and the Holy Spirit guided that man to find him and bring him to church, to hear a message and I pray and hope this man was saved and that God is moving in his life this day.

This is a great sermon with a few words.
