I live in Jylland, so don't visit Copenhagen that often but would say Tivoli, Nyhavn, Rundetårn, Rosenborg, and Amalienborg are must visits. Music in Denmark are mostly in English, though there are still some that do make music in Danish and from like 10 -15 years ago it became cooler to make music in Danish again But most our entertainment is English with danish subtitles. Check out the band Volbeat. Some of their biggest hits are in both English and Danish. Like "For Evigt" which means forever.

Beautiful video- but I'm not satisfied with the fact that the cyclist doesn't comply with the traffic rules- on a bike- if there are no turn signals on the bike- which is on electric power, then he has to show with his right hand when he turns right- and extend his left hand out when he turns left- little by little he has to use his left hand up over his shoulder, so it is seen by other tafikants- so it can be seen if he wants to stop in traffic- it is important because he is driving with passengers and has a great responsibility if there is an accident -be it big or small-- if he transports people ,on an approved bicycle for the purpose- has the full responsibility for safety There were two incidents that were critical, where I thought, it can go completely wrong, nothing happened, and okay with that. In Copenhagen it is easy to cycle for the inner city and 5 -10 km out to the North -South and West - is it reasonably flat- just try to go to Jutland- and then cycle around there - then you get a task- that shows something else!!

We have actually had 2 nights with northern light (Aurora Borealis) this week. Not very often we can see that as south as we are, usually you need to be much further north. it's actually not legal in Denmark to refuse cash , unless your business is on the internet only, and places who are open all night can refuse it after a certain time in the evening and night an example is 7/11 but only at night, that said small places cant exchange big notes for you, you will have to ask in a place where they have much more change like a supermarket, there is very few people who use cash in Denmark that is why the small places can't help you, if just 2-3 people come in with 500 kr notes they are out of change

Also if you want cheap, you don’t shop at the kiosks: 7/11, Narvesen or Deli Deluca, as that’s expensive. You get the same chocolate and snacks, depending on the brand, at any grocery store. Also normally Norway IS cold this time of year, but due to climate change and global warming we’ve had an unnatural hot September, summer temperatures. Tho judging by the uploading date you were here in late August so “summer” still. Norwegian weather is famous for being unpredictable which is why historically people dress for practical reasons and not fashion. If you want a cheaper stay, I recommend Anker Hostell further down town, and closer to the actual central station.

Lol at least you didn’t do the newbie mistake of taking a taxi/cab from the airport into the city, because that’s like giving your money away, and no Norwegian takes the taxi when going from the airport. You either take the local train, or flytoget. The latter you said was expensive. Personally I always take that one, and I’m poor by Norwegian standards both to and from the airport and I live in Oslo. It’s fast, only stops at Lillestrøm, my ugly ass home town, instead of all the local stops, and more comfortable, easier in terms of luggage etc. Oslo is windy due to its proximity to the water/ocean, and it’s that wind that makes it comfortable to live here especially during the summer as I can’t take the heat otherwise and I hate sweat, mosquitoes, grass pollen and summer in general. Oslo is a tiny city compared to other European cities, but that’s why I love it here. Just came back from Stockholm Sweden. Much prettier than Oslo, but way bigger, and way more people, suffocating and claustrophobic. As a Norwegian I’ve travelled alot, went to Edinburgh Scotland for the 1st time last spring, and Japan pre covid back in summer 2019, a tip is to do proper research about the country, culture, people and language as well as the city before visiting. It’s gonna a make everything much easier, more relaxing and stress free as you know what to do, how to behave within the local laws and social etiquette and social norms.
