The bat squeaks I hear sound like something between a baby chick chirping and a rusty swing chain squeaking. I don't know how to explain it but I live in the city so maybe their squeak changes based on the environment they're in.

This is so interesting! I am going to Japan soon, so I hope to find some bats to try and see how they sound there! Here in the Netherlands it is like a clicky sound with a small chime, very hard to explain hihi♡ Thank you for your comments!

And all you need to cover is the joints! You can paint the rest. The pastel method is commonly used to prevent chipping on the joints!

Hi! Thank you for your comment! What kind of yarn are you using? Mine are also 'x's, but because the yarn is very fluffy, the lines mix in with one another due to the fluffy nature! This is how to turned out to look like squares, I hope this helps♡ If you have any questions feel free to ask!

@@mimi4mochi hii thank you sm for taking the time to respond, my yarn is a plush yarn pretty much the same texture as yours in the video. I might try and do it with two strands of yarn at the same time to get the desired look like yours, but if you can think of any other way without using more yarn than needed I would appreciate it thank you :)

If you are still experiencing the 'X' s, maybe try loosening the grip a little bit?♡ I did tone down the tension a bit for this project, then what I was used to with regular yarn! It is due to the yarn😊 When you use this fluffy type of yarn (like velvet yarn) you get a nice grid to work on!♡
