i tried VKTRY Insoles for a week...

Can a pair of insoles actually improve your athletic performance? Today, I’m putting the VKTRY Insoles to the test. As a basketball player, I've always wanted to dunk, but I always come an inch or two short. BUT... These carbon-fiber insoles are designed to help athletes run faster, jump higher, and reduce injury. Naturally, I had to see if they could give me that boost for dunking and speed! B...

    A lot of my friends got paid $100 by VKTRY Insoles to claim it increased their vert. But now they're taking down those videos, since they don't want to get nailed by the FTC, who is going after even small influencers for stuff like this. Be careful-- there are new rules about endorsements, especially with so much NIL.

    When you tried to dunk in flip flops and barely missed-- I bet if you tried a second time in basketball shoes, it would have gone in.

    Hello......why don't UA-camrs know how to do real scientific tests? Once without? Really? Do it 10 times and go back and forth. Test to see if it's will power and stamina vs actual help. And make sure you jump from the same spot. Did no one watch Mythbusters?

    What does the number after the dash mean in the exercises? For example the one here in 3x6-8. Is it the weight and if so what units is it in. I’ve never been to the gym before I am just unsure😅

    • @johnnyperkins_
      @johnnyperkins_ Місяць тому

      @NickJones-e7h it’s repetitions. So roughly how many times you perform the exercise per set. For example, 3 sets, 6 to 8 times depending on your comfort level with a given weight. I hope this helps!

    Thanks for sharing the story about ur basketball journey. I started basketball at 11, played in 8th grade and some aau leagues, then got cut from JV in 9th and 10th grade. I'm currently a sophomore in high school, playing on a competitive AAU 17U team. Do you think i can make it to a d2/d3 college level if I played AAU without school ball. Also loved your story so much, so inspirational!! From my story as well as your story, failure is a valuable source which teaches our minds how to be resillient, and eventually making it.

      Thank you for your kind message! Im glad my journey could inspire you. I think it’s definitley achievable playing in college. Sounds like you’re playing already at a high level, so as long as you continue to play and improve, the opportunities are gonna come to you!

    The fact that your one and two legged take off attempts are very similar is rather special. Most people are better at one or the other. My one legged vert was about 4+ inches lower than my two legged vert. 😢
