Did I lose money because of this design mistake? Bookshelf Build | Bearded Moose Woodworking

Recently I had a client project to build 17 bookshelves of two different sizes. The plan for this project was simple and easy. Follow along to see how I built them and where I messed up! How many pepperonis does one man need? Looks nice
What radius ?
I just ordered the wood shaper and swift vacuum cnc. I hope it's worth it!
DONT BUY VADANIA! Horrible!
Full shop tour needed 😊
Awesome ! What is the router bit called that you used to finish the cuts/trim off ?
This is a flush trim bit. I like the spiral style as I think it leaves a better finish
Yup! Every time!!!
Poor review just checked the price of all those accessories total rip off and no better than less expensive ones
Not the tool to play FAFO with
What’s the weird bit of aluminum for? Why not just cut it?
It’s a track saw rail. I could have cut it free hand but this allows me to get close to that line and not worry about the saw wandering at all
What brand is this floating shelf kit
This is from shepherds brackets
$501
If I was still able to get a McDouble for a dollar, I would have charged them a dollar.
Why are you wearing your daughters apron
@@beardedmoosewoodworking god she’s so amazing😻
Loved this project! The DBA is lucky to have you! 🙂
Thanks! Definitely one of my favorites
I basically did the same thing with one of my builds! I tried to build rotating storage bin under my workbench and it turned out to be a disaster! Been there man, I know how you feel! I subbed ya' for more content.
This ended up ok but assembly was a pain for sure! Thanks for the sub!
Damn ken great video. That cnc looks good in your shop. The idea of people commenting against cncs is stupid. If you don’t have one and can do it another way that’s amazing cool. You have a tool just like they have their tools. Anyway you got a nice butt. K bye
Ken 🤣 I’m sure someone with a sliding table saw could do this even faster than the CNC could 🤷🏻♂️
And the @lagunatools CNC fits just right in the shop 👌🏼
People who talk down on CNC are like people bashing power saws in favor of a hand saw. They are inherently stupid & being left in the dust!
I think people have went too far with the CNC usage in a lot of ways. I've seen some operations done on them that would be way faster or easier on "traditional" equipment. But this process is something a CNC is perfect for.
If UA-cam is smart, it should drop some Duluth ads on this once you are monetized.
Seriously, all the @duluthtrading gear.
Those off-cuts are still in the same place I’m sure.
Do I need to block you from commenting?
😂 “not my angle”
Just not a good choice of location for that camera
This satisfied my OCD
The only reliable way to get clean consistent holes. If you have a kreg jig or a milescraft throw them in the trash. Personally I use the Dewalt compact router with the TSO adapter plate. By the LR 32 plate separately save a lot of money.
I’ve used the other jigs and I think they’re fine. This is easier pre assembly. But if you really want to make it easy, you have a CNC do it
Awesome
100 points for Ron
Couldn’t have done it without him!
lol @ the caption
Pretty ridiculous that you can't make a six inch cut that doesn't matter without a track saw
But how else would I get you to comment on my videos?
What is the name of the tool?
Which tool? I did the initial cuts with a track saw and then used a flush trim router bit for the clean up.
Awful song choice
Man it sure seems like your profile picture doesn’t work for you after that comment
Which guide bushing do you use?
They provide a bushing and bit for the jig
Much better w Volume Muted
I’ve filed this to our complaint department and they’ll be filing it under comments that don’t matter
I wouldn't expect anything less from a bearded mouse. 😆 🤣 😂

Holy shit why hasn’t anyone else thought of this
You’ll see it on some larger accounts that they use a large buffer/polisher. I don’t have that but this work well. I’ve since changed to a true polishing pad that works better I think.
Dude, I just discovered your channel today, I hope so badly that it blows up. The quality of your videos, and the editing is just insane, and the concept is amazing. It’s hard to explain the difference between yours and the others I’ve seen, but it’s definitely here.
😞😞😞😞 dude I feel your pain so much. How do you fix something like this? Maybe I’m dumb but I have no clue
The blade is basically flexed .002 inches which is nothing. This is perfect basically. If your blade isn’t square, you’d have to read your manual to see how to adjust your saw. Most saws you adjust your top to get it square to the blade and motor
Oh ok with the song I wasn’t sure if it was super bad or not. I know I’ve had a blade off like that but it was noticeable just by looking at it. So with this flex, it pretty much wouldn’t matter at all
Hey man cool video
Nice shop.
Thanks! I’m really proud of it!
The stack DADO blade. Cool music choice..
10:20 To connect the two tracks together, put the Makita track saw on the rail with one of the thumb screws (part #76) centered at the seam of the two tracks. Tighten the thumb screws (part #76) so the two rails align, then tighten the grub screws on the guide rail connector kit to lock in the alignment. Loosen the thumb screws (part #76) to so the saw can glide freely without play and test the smoothness of the fit by sliding the saw across the seam. If the seam catches the saw, the alignment is no good repeat the set up again until the saw slides smoothly across the seam. (This technique uses the saw's two adjustable guide holders (part #75) to align the rails by locking the holders tightly to the rail (making it straight) before tightening the grub screws on the rail connector kit. By centering the holder at the seam of the two tracks allows the holder to smooth out the discontinuity at the seams when it expands.)
good info
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You should have a 63" moose rack hanging from your wall..... ;-)
I’ll add that to the list!
Great review of the TSO products! I finally bought the connector set after initially thinking they were over-priced. They work so well that now I think they’re a bargain. I also have the TSO square (original version) and I went through the same thing of thinking it was over-priced as well. I actually found someone selling his locally and did get it for a great price but after owning it I’d definitely pay full price for them and still think they’re a bargain. I also found my microjig dovetail clamps to work perfectly for a rail clamp. These are definitely a set of add ons that make a track saw more versatile and precise.
Jigsaw would be faster.
It may be the same speed but I don’t believe it would be faster. This is 2 inches thick. I have to move the saw on this but the cut is way faster
Ah I would say that you would struggle with the blade going left and right inside that thick wood.. like this It’s sure more precise
😱 PЯӨMӨƧM
Love TSO products. I have all these accessories too. I can't fit a 4x8 sheet good in my vehicle so I take these accessories and my Bora Centipedes and breakdown in the parking lot. Then I do my final cuts either at the table saw or my MFT table. TSO products are the best!
I feel like the Bora is the perfect compliment to this!
Glad to see it is being used in the videos. Fit looks perfect too.
Fit is spot on! Next one may need even more holes!
@@beardedmoosewoodworking Are we building another one?
I may want a smaller one eventually as well! And/Or a replacement top for this one
Yes oke oke good
Cringe ...!
a very useful piece of tool
It’s extremely helpful!
No more cussing 😂😂
