This is how I’m going to start a content agency
I was inspired by @cammeu and his series of building a content agency from $0 to $10k in a month. I have some basic knowledge in video but nothing crazy by any means. I plan on using this series to document my journey of starting my own content agency.

The flight reminds me of a beat in teebird3. The Ravine is a slightly overstable midrange with numbers of 5.5,0,2. I also think these are very accurate. I have been LOVING this disc. It Finally makes makes sense..🎉🎉. Now i understand what's going on with the throw and where the power comes from. I've watched Tons of videos but didn't get it till now. It finally clicked. Thank you!!!! It's soo clear to me now

    Really appreciate this video and I was struggling with this exact issue. I am wondering if you concentrate on using the arm to start the throw, or if you use the hip motion to start the drive, or if it's simultaneous?

    • @TannerMcCartney
      @TannerMcCartney 2 дні тому

      I personally think about my arm just a tad. Then the hips fire

  • @JustinThorntonArt
    @JustinThorntonArt Місяць тому

    I don’t think one should use the wrist at release. I find if I aim the back to my hand at 10 o’clock and try to keep my wrist from moving I get the best throws with plenty of spin. I think this makes the disc function like the end of a whip where more of that angle momentum for your body is transferred into the disc and plenty of that angular momentum is changed to rotational momentum as it rips out of your grip. (That was probably the king of run on sentences) I also flex my wrist more then you at reach back. I find I struggle to get a good power pocket if I don’t. I think this is a personal preference though.

    Great explanation! Do you also lag your upper body when you brace the hip?

    • @TannerMcCartney
      @TannerMcCartney 3 місяці тому

      You do, but I think if there’s too much lag it can actually cause you to round a bit. Too much lag can prevent you from being able to get into the power pocket

    • @marion1600

      @@TannerMcCartney makes perfect sense. Checked your slo mo's over and over again and that lag isn't even visible. I'm having troubles with brace and nose angle so definitely gonna try it out. Cheers!

    • @TannerMcCartney

      @marion1600 the amount of lag will also depend on how far you are trying to throw. But it’s not has much as most people probably think.

    This really is great stuff and you earned yourself a sub! Curious how you combine this with your throwing arm. Do you even think about the arm at all at this point, or is it second nature to you? If you do, what cues do you use? Many pros say that they aren't really doing anything in particular with the arm other than leaving it loose, but I wonder if that's just because they've been playing for so long that they in fact do a lot of things with their arm, but subconsciously.

    • @TannerMcCartney
      @TannerMcCartney 3 місяці тому

      I do a little bit. In a ball golf swing, when you are at peak rotation ( reach back) you almost let gravity initiate the swing. I kinda feel that same thing in the disc golf throw. My arm is pretty relaxed and it just gets pulled in a bit. Definitely takes some practice to be able to learn how to separate your arm pulling in with out your shoulders rotating.

    • @catfishbilllly
      @catfishbilllly 3 місяці тому

      @@TannerMcCartney Okay so you basically let the hips initiate the rotation and then you pull through, leading with the elbow when you can feel the momentum from the hips? Or do you pull at the same time as you fire your hips?

    • @TannerMcCartney
      @TannerMcCartney 3 місяці тому

      @obwan95 I try to bring my arm in just a hair before my hips fire. But it’s a very “lazy” motion. Doesn’t need to be fast or powerful in my opinion. But the arm has to come in a tad then hips fire and shoulders rotate

    Great tips on putting. Makes sense on the shorter putting. I was doing 100 putts a day for a month. About half way through I started jumping around to 25’ to 35’ and noticed when I putted what I thought was routine at 15’ I would miss a few and get a little frustrated. I will go back to the shorter lengths and really work in that range. Thanks!!

    Good lord. Is that why a Pitcher puts more contact on a change up? As opposed to two fingers on a fastball? And this is literally why I now exclusively throw drives with 2 fingers (pointer and middle). It naturally lowers the nose and instantly adds distance to drives.

  • @yolobutton2451
    @yolobutton2451 3 місяці тому

    Yo!?!? The people in the back ground WTH. They saw you throwing walk up to the field anyway then proceed to pick your discs up and throw them. What a bunch of jerks. If they have the field for something they could have picked them up and set them down on the side not just launched your stuff back where you have no idea where they went. Cool video though. I just did a form video today and a content video about what I changed to get there. Lol! Talked about aiming with my lead hip for accuracy. The one thing no one says, verbally, about the "aim with your line" is that you're aiming where you want your disc to go...BEFORE it fades. That's what drove it home for me. While I was recording my last video and explaining how that dials in my accuracy...I aced. Lol! That's the best tip you can give...when you apply it, record it and get the ultimate result! 😂
