The Simulink Simscape simulation for our Two-wheeled Jumping Robot capstone project. Model design based on a lot of open source projects from "啥也不会 " on Bilibili. Salute!

This is an undergraduate Capstone project built by mechanical and mechatronics students. I'm considering making a longer video about all the engineering details, tech stack we are using etc, so if you are interested please leave a comment below. The project idea and control model are based on many open-source projects, including "ETH Zurich Ascento Robot" "HIT Robomaster Team". The mechanical w...

A short film about Asian international students true stories.
Hi, what kind of motor do you use, what is the driver?
what is the parts list for this robot? Motors, onboard computer etc that your team used? Really great project!
I am interested in this topic . I want to communicate with you
Hi, I am interested in your Capstone project. Can you please send me the materials about it,... Thanks
What engine did you use, can you tell me the product code?
Nice dude
we do not share the deffinition of 'jumping' !
its ok to sit go up or down stairsway ?
Great work!
Nice one
Do gizmoduck please!
Cool! What does the under force interface do? does it just calculate data from sensors? And what languege does the robot's hardware use?
Increase the payload and you have something useful!
I need it.😂
hey can you share a design a so i can also try to build this in order to learn robot
Hey bro how do you made this robot I want to learn robotics please🙏 help me😮
I'd love to make this and get it working, can you let me know?
Thanks, next video coming in June.
🦾
what software at 0:30 please?
Spoiler: it didn't jump.
If you want it to jump efficiently, have it compress a spring and then trip a release.
Fully 3D Printed Two-wheeled Jumping Robot *frame* Hopefully this comment helps out in a decade forward when we can fully print anything
Thanks for pointint that out! I grow up with watching 3D printed RC car videos and that's why I name this way. Will be more specific and careful on the naming.
$50 we will buy it. For an serious toy.
Brother please share the codes and stl file for the robot
Are you going to make more in depth videos about this? I am not an engineer, but would love to learn and this project seems to have incorporated a lot of cool things.
The only robot i know that actually jump is bosten dynamics robots.., their 12 year old tiny robot jump to top of entire building
So, those motors/actuators are around $300 each? Did you try to find more economical alternatives and if so, what would have been your next best choice? This is a real road block for playing around trying to make some diy robots. I have some hoverboard motors I'm going to try to use but I guess they don't come close to the torque & power (at least per unit volume) of the expensive actuators do they?
Great 🎉
Awesome more details would be great
Thanks! Next video coming in June
Pro tip: Never use "fully 3D printed" in your title/description unless the whole thing is actually 3D printed. It really undermines your content otherwise. This thing definitely has a lot of 3D printed parts, but still requires other parts that are manufactured using other processes. Great work otherwise.
Thanks for point it out, will be naming more carefully!
Is this an open source project? I really wanted to check simscape models..
Hi abdullahcakan I will make a video about the simscape models this summer, stay tuned.
@@kinosicemint2251 Looking forward to see that video !
I can recognize mcmaster university from far away lol
Rather excellent and very stable / smooth. This is a rather useful design. Though I can see the point of AI / robotics uprising after all the abuse they have to put up with... ;)
But......there was no jumping at all.
This ain't no Dukes of Hazzard boiy... * spits out Tabasco*
Got about 1in off the ground at 0:15.
@@uBreezebot it's pi nm
@@tanjiro3285 Brother, what?
@@uBreeze 3.14 nanometers
Nifty! Would appreciate a deep dive, recognize that would be a lot of work on your part
Thanks! Next video coming in June
Robomaster 王大哥祖爷好厉害
muy bueno!
Really awesome robot, I think the suspension capabilities that the jumping mechanism provides is an awesome idea to allow much more robust terrain traversal despite the balancing robot archetype
Nice robot design! Not really jumping though :D If you include it in the title viewers are prepared for more than a 10mm jump. And maybe the PID's need some tuning?
useless
Very good capstone project. Looking forward to see more advancements on your robot.
Good job, it looks like you used topology optimization on the body, very nice!
Yes we used Fusion 360 to generate the topology structure, thanks!
@kinosicemint2251 Did you validate your design afterwards using fea, also what angle did you apply your load cases from, I'm designing my own quadroped so this information would be very useful, thanks!
Where are the STLs and the BOM? What kind of battery life do you get?
We'll share STLs and the BOM during the summer, just need some time to finalize the last bit. Battery life when siting condition is around 2 hrs.
@@kinosicemint2251 - Thank you. Looking forward to iterating a smaller version with parts from Hua Qiang Bei and Shipai.
@@kinosicemint2251 Hei June is here. Can we have the STLs and plans even for purchase?
@@geek4001 Hi, I am currently working on a cheaper and compact version because the total cost of the previous version exceeded $2300 CAD. The new version will be delayed until July, but in the meantime, I could create some theory explanation videos. Hope that helped cheers
Hi mate. Can you please share an update
Молодцы
This is awesome; i saw you plan on making this open source. I know ai has been used to train robotic motion and action; If this had an arm, and was able to be trained using ai this could be really useful. Would it be possible to make something like that part of the project?
This is awesome! Any impetus for a topology-optimized part if it's just 3DP? Plans to move to alum chassis soon maybe?
How does it balance? Does it have a gyroscope?
Similar to an inverted pendulum problem, torque control on the driving wheel.
Beautiful.
Are there any springs in the hips to neutralize body weight?
No physical spring or damper, purely brushless motor
Do you have any resources on how to use Simscape to simulate dynamical systems! I've tried learning Simscape in the past and couldn't find many useful resources.
