@jocelynharris-fx8ho I definitely agree. The 777 is the last great plane to come from Boeing. Really is a fantastic aircraft that helped transform long haul air travel. Will be interesting to see if the 777x can live up to 777 legacy.

@AlbertZonneveld I think that's one of the main advantages the 777x will have going forward. It's larger size will suit airlines like Emirates who need that extra capacity.

@rajnirvan3336 the Virgin A350s are stunning. Got some great close ups of them at Manchester Airport. I would also like to try the A330neo, unfortunately no airlines operate them from Dublin

@rajnirvan3336 Delta might schedule A330neos to Dublin once they start to retire their 767s. As of now Delta is the only airline that I see flying the A350-900 to Dublin. Qatar Airways might send one on occasion I think but they usually use the Dreamliners for the Dublin route

@Xx5sonoxX I assume you're talking about the A350. If so, I definitely agree it's super smooth. I flew the A350 for the first time this year to Mauritius and I loved it. My outbound flight was in economy and return was in business class so I got a feel for both and it was great. The cabin in the A350 is very quiet too, not far off the A380.

The 350 doesn't compete with the 787 lol. The 787 was made to replace the 767 and compete with the A330NEO. You have no idea what you're talking about.

No doubt composite planes are the way forward. I feel like the 777x really needed to enter service in 2020 like originally planned. Like you said, it may be outdated by the time it starts flying passengers. If Airbus release an A350 Neo in the next few years, it will be a serious competitor to the 777x.
