Refit Episode 07 - Beam repaired and in!
In this episode, after having removed beam three, I repair it and replace it. Along the way I change direction to install it in a more simple, yet more effective way. Success!
Working on the water to refit my Wharram Tehini 51', Ha'Nu'Na I am refitting her with a new deck layout and Wharram rig, but first need to do repairs to the cabin roofs... under the massive beams. The beams also need inspected and in some cases repaired.

Engine sled tests with electric outboard

I built an engine sled using the Wharram design for such sleds. It’s basically like a mini boat and a transoms to mount the engine which can be lowered or raised to lif th engine out of the water when sailing or in when motoring. Ingenious. I’m testing it along with my Epropulsion electric out board, and taking my Tiki 26 out to her summer mooring. Enjoy!
