I record electroencephalographic (EEG) data in a schizophrenia research laboratory at Yale University.
I play guitar in the 80's & New Wave cover band "Reach The Beach" based out of New Haven, Connecticut.
I like to make pizza (specifically apizza) and cook Indian food (especially Sambar).

I wish i could have seen them live this video really shows how great they are live.
I remember watching this new on mtv! wow long time ago still great i like them even more now
Good lord, they sounded amazing live. I saw this tour in Seattle when they opened for Flock of Seagulls. I was floored by the experience but, sadly, I was only 14 and a lot of the details went over my head.
im only 16, and discovered the fixx this year. i heard this over the radio (sirius xm 1st wave) and instantly fell inlove, listening more than 170 times alone this year, and ive explored more of their music and ive gotta say they are criminally underrated
That's time well spent at your age. I hope you're also practicing really hard at a musical instrument though.
No autotune here! These guys put on a hell of a show!!
SHUTTERED ROOM IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC FROM THE FIRST NOTES. like reach the Beach...walkabout OUR WE OURSELVES??
Showzaço!!!
Damn I love this group. Cy and the boys are just as good now (2024) as they were here in 1983. They’ve gotten even better over the years. Keep rocking boys. I love you all. All great chaps.
My husband and I literally flew through a rainbow in 2013. Well, at the time we were not husband and wife, but then I found out the only reason he married me was to use me which really broke my heart.
I've said it before, 80's was the best music! Period!
Day on the green 1983 with the police fsntsstic they were
Great voice/ great synth/ great drums/ great bass and guitar>The 80s still rock ❤
Whoa.. I think I was at this concert and I remember being pretty close to the front because I kept thinking "this guy is really tense" while almost looking straight up to watch him. Saw lot's of great 80s bands at The Rainbow while a student in college. I now live in Tokyo and this almost seems like a time in life I almost forgot about. Strange, especially when this just randomly popped up! Domo!
The bass though…
Amazing sound they got out of those delay effects back then.
I remember watching this the night it premiered on MTV. I recorded it and watched it to death. I was a huge fan.
Lucky enough to have went to a few shows here between 1984 and 1987, 19-23 years old, perfect age. Great memories and venue!!
Remember the cups on the air sa Vrd by zero
The last 2 studio albums have been amazing. Still wish they’d release a studio version of Kingdom Christsake after all these years.
This band is so good. They have lots of great songs, a unique sound and great live.
When I hear The Fixx I think of MTV immediately. I had no idea they had been around for such a long time. I saw them open for Drivin' n' Cryin' around 1991 at Sandy Creek amusement park End of Summer Jam. What a memorable concert at a fantastic venue that was surrounded by woods and natural terrain. I could not see any signs of the venue at all from the parking area but I saw a trail of people heading onto a trail into the woods singing songs. Fireworks at the end of the show, a lot of mushrooms being consumed and of course alcohol consumed which culminated into a fight that broke out onto the stage. Drivin' n' Cryin' had to quit playing as they got things under control. I can remember the bass player Tim saying welcome to the wide world of sports. The next night I would catch Drivin' n' Cryin' in Panama City Beach Florida at club La Vela that would result in curfews being imposed because of the crowd that spilled out onto the beach and caused many problems. Place was so crowded I thought it was going to collapse. Rowdy crowd was out of control. Somebody got stabbed, somebody got dosed. They were burning rental beach chairs and equipment on the beach. Somebody thought they was a firewalker and was walking through the fire!

I never tire of the Fixx
I love Cy's vocals and Rupert Grinal's keyboard tricks are excellent.
Rupert is a magician and Cy is the perfect frontman
I was there were you.?
These guys were fantastic! Very underrated!
Great concert by these wonderful guys. However, the brilliant guitar stylings of one JAMIE WEST ORAM needs to be MUCH MORE PRESENT in the mix!!!
Eloquent reflections on the human condition and the Millitary Industrial complex. No music of today speaks of such depth. FiXX it!
Cerati en el bajo😂😂😂😂😂
Music forty years ahead of its time

Saw them in concert with the moody blues in the early 80s. Best concert i ever attended. Both bands were great!
They are under value because of the social impact it would cause.Thry want everyone blind🥺
I love how I'm enjoying a song and midway it cuts to a commercial 👍😀👍
The Shuttered room was my intro into the band could not get enough of the brilliant somber talk of amagiddion times.
Growing up in West Germany during the 80’s the Fixx was always on my rotation list. Finally got to see them live in early 2000’s at the old Firehouse in Seattle- Great venue and show!
I first heard "Saved by Zero" on the radio and got goosebumps. It still gives me goosebumps after all these years. Stand or Fall does the same thing as well. The Fixx is such an iconic band.
Agree.
