Yes I certainly wish I could (not sure I have mentioned in this specific video I live in Australia but my car is in England). It's definitely saved me a lot of money in the past when I have replaced things on the 3 series I had. I definitely like the idea of flying in and having my car ready for use when I get to England than having to sort things out on it. That's primarily to maximise my time whilst in England and gives me the time to use the car like the road trip I just went on to the south France (video yet to be edited and uploaded). Diagnosis can be very hard with cars but other than that, taking them apart and putting them back together isn't very hard which certainly makes it all the more painful receiving huge bills knowing I could do a lot of the work 😬 Great work on you XK, hopefully now you have got it up to a certain standard it will be some what reliable! I understand the anxiety 🤣 but since my break down in Switzerland (insert UA-cam video here) I've completed two long distance trips around Ireland and to the south of France problem free so they can be fine! Yup exactly! I've been to 4 mechanics now, some cheaper ones that do things like 'fix' the fly off handbrake because they think it's broken 🙄 then another place that's a specialist the receptionist has no idea about cars and they were too busy to talk to anyone, I'd hoped they would have been a good standard as the labour rates were the same as Aston martin specialist's, that of course didn't work out hence re doing the roof lining else where. It's definitely a mine field finding a decent mechanic, I think the labour rates everywhere now is what makes it so extortionate. If I lived in the same country as my car then I'd be able to do most of the work myself but thata just the situation. Thanks for watching!

And it doesn't help when people are trying to rip you off all the time, or worst still, try and hide how crocked they are through reputation laundering on YT. However, just like the Swiss Car Guy and the money he spent on his Lexus LS 460, hopefully you've got all the major work done on the jag, which won't need doing for a good few years yet.
