Then I show you how I implemented the charge controller at home to power my devices and lastly my conclusion about how and why Victron charge controllers are best to have.

    I never thought DeWalt would come out with something like that. Ya, kinda neat but I'd rather see a "charger" adapter that just plugs into a 12v accessory (ciggy lighter) hole and step the voltage up to charge the battery AND have a USB type A and C "outputs" to power anything that uses those protocols.

    overcrouwded space gee how do you understand your self with all those wires and volt boosters?

    • @wisebuyreviews
      @wisebuyreviews 22 дні тому

      Great question. Yes need a bigger place so use my affiliate links to help me get it thanks. It is quite simple, the voltage boosters only go into the Victron 30 amp mppt that I used in this situation, it allows me to charge from the rest of my 12v batteries. Anderson is like a USB port for electricity that can deliver up to 360 watts to place running at 12v. That port can be used to both charge and discharge the batteries. The batteries are wired in parallel. Why 12v is because all these car and rv accessories and lighting and even your network switches and routers can run from 12v power, or through a simple converter that stabilized the voltage on the battery from 13.5 volts fully charged to 12.00. It is built with expansion in mind, and with safety in mind also as each port has a 40 amp fuse. Watch my anderson connection making guide and I can teach you how to do all this.

    That was really a nice review! But I would buy the Almighty FU03 AMD Mini PC with a Ryzen 5 7540U which should be much faster and probably consumes much less power well. However, you are right, the TB4 of this fanless pc is very tempting as well!😉

    • @wisebuyreviews
      @wisebuyreviews 22 дні тому

      Yeah you are right Ryzen would probably run quieter. However if didn't care about it being fanless, perhaps going with UM790 pro you could get most of the feature set and have a capable 780m graphics which this one doesn't have with the IRIS. However this one with the IRIS graphics is probably more optimized for Plex Emby and Jellyfin media servers which you might want to use it for. And again it might be a nice living room pc where you don't want to be disturbed by fan noise.

    • @knofi7052
      @knofi7052 22 дні тому

      @@wisebuyreviews I understand that, but the Almighty FU03 AMD Mini PC is the successor to the fanless FU02 that you already tested. It does have a small fan on top of the case, but it is supposed to be extremely quiet and is probably not even needed for the Ryzen 5 7540U. The fan is probably only needed for the Ryzen 7 8845HS, which is also available. Nevertheless, the Ryzen 5 7540U should have significantly better performance than the I7 1365U, which is obviously also heavily throttled in this fanless PC, at least that's what its Cinebench values suggest.

      These 10gbe ports is what makes it run hot, have the loud cooling fans and cost so much. Perhaps just get a wifi one and turn off the wireless. Or get a fanless mini pc with 2.5gbe on it with n100 and create your own firewall. Perhaps I would use one of those options if I had to do it over again. However I put it and it works fine. Perhaps there is also functionality that is awesome that I might not know or use that justify come of the price. Everything is wireless nowadays so it's only game in to town almost unless you go creative.

      I bought one taking advantage of 11.11 and promotional codes added by the store that day, but 5825U one. Place an $8 or $9 aluminum radiator on top helps to passively lower the maximum CPU temperature by 4 or 5ºC. Also adding a small heatsink to the disk helps, but even better is leaving the front and/or back covers open. In my case, in a desktop environment, dust is not a problem.

    Hi, it seems there is a new brother from this one(FU02). It's not completely fanless, more like semi-passive, but it seems to have potential as an updated version, with better connectivity and more modern processors. It is called FU03 under topton brand in aliexpress (I don't know if it's marketed under other brands or there are more variants of similar chassis). It comes with Ryzen 8845hs, 7640hs or 7540u.

      I am liking it also! That is nice thanks for sharing: Here is a link for others to check out. I bet you could possible run it fanless mode by not plugging in the fan cable?! Looks very similar with the heatsink design. Or if fan is so low in noise that it is hardly noticeable it is a decent upgrade. The GPU 780m graphics alone kicks the pants off this one! www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806407007290.html

      Since it is very new, there are few user reviews yet. But they say it is silent. I asked at the Topton store and they told me that the fan is replaceable, so I suppose it can be disconnected. Even so, I don't know if it would be advisable at least in the top-of-the-range processor and less so in warm environments and intensive use. They also told me that the CPU temperature of 45ºC - but not confirmed by users yet - above which the fan starts to spin at minimum revolutions cannot be altered. Having control over the fan curve, voltages and powers states in BIOS would be a dream come true and very useful. I don't know nothing about but there si still some hope. Over time I suppose more details will be known. I suppose too small home-made alterations can be made to better adapt it to a passive profile. Cheers.

Without a doubt, there is more than enough power for desktop tasks. Let us know what you think after test it. And if the fan is standard or custom-made. Another thing that always worries me in Chinese devices from these not-so-well-known brands is the quality of the components and their durability. In the case of the fanless FU02 model, since it has been on the market for several years, there are many more experiences and it seems to have turned out to be quite reliable. I don't know if you could tell us what model and brand of motherboard is reported in Windows or Linux. Cheers.

      @@xec467 I have got it yesterday. It's smaller than I thought but the quality seems to be really okay. I bought it with 512GB SSD and 32GB memory, the memory is from Crucial the SSD noname. The BIOS has many options although I wasn't able to to find out which key let's me to the boot menu, yet. There was one problem when I tried look into the PStep settings because afterwards the pc didn't react anymore. However, I just I needed to unplug the battery to reset the CMOS. I am quite happy with the pc because it can be configured to be totally quiet and even fast. I can change it to many predefined TDP values, can even manually set the CPU Package Power (PPT) and the fan settings. So everything is quite good in my eyes. I have done some tests: Cinebench 2024 (25°C room) 54W TDP: makes no sense 45W TDP (default setting): MC: 565 (85.5°C fan noisy) SC: 53 (65°C fan audible) 28W TDP: MC: 533 (84°C fan noisy) SC: 53 (65°C fan audible) 15W TDP(25-30W PPT): MC: 498 (67°C fan audible) SC: 53 (65°C fan audible) 15W PPT(manually): MC: 379 (52°C fan silent) SC: 52 (65°C fan audible) 10W PPT(manually): MC: 231 (47°C fan not running or completely quiet) SC: 48 (55°C fan silent) 17W PPT(manually, no core perf. boost): MC: 337 (55°C fan completely quiet) SC: 37 (46°C fan completely quiet) 17W PPT(manually, no core perf. boost, no fan): after 10 minutes: MC: 63°C SC: 52°C 15W TDP(no fan): after 5 minutes: MC: 82°C SC: 84°C (after a minute) 25W PPT(manually, no core perf. boost): MC: 480 SC: 37 The TDP settings means that the PPT can be much higher. The CPU Package Power on idle is between 3.5 and 4.5W which is really very low. I think, as you can see in the results, the default TDP setting is too high if you want to have it quiet and cool. One problem is that for reaching the core performance boost the fan is needed and will be audible. So you have to sacrifice either noise and heat, or SC or MC performance. Anyway, I still think it has a quite impressive performance and you can chose what you prefer!😉

You technically Don't Need a specifically Wired Router, you can Use your current router but turn off Wifi on It, and make sure to disable the secondary Wifi Called Guest Access, because there could be several places you need to disable it. So you can turn a wireless router into a wired one. You can connect a switch to it for the extra ports in case you need them. This is the switch I have in my house connected to this Qnap router, which gives me all the ports I need and is probably best one you can get, all 10GBE and 10gigabit SFP+ fiber ports amzn.to/3CTaSMm amzn.to/4idophM QNAP 12-Port Industrial-Grade 10GbE Layer 2 Managed Switch with 8 x 10GbE Combo and 4 x 10GbE SFP+ Ports (QSW-IM1200-8C-US) - It might be sold out on Amazon so you can check other places like Newegg.

Yes you won't have remote, however I like using my PC wit it. Also if your TV is a smart tv it emits a bluetooth and wifi signal even when it is off. So here is the computer monitor that is 48 inches so it doesn't have wifi on it ua-cam.com/video/IO4dGeyiHIc/v-deo.html it is OLED and 48 inches. Lastly I recommend turning off all wifi and bluetooth because just by being on it's broadcasting a signal 24/7. I have a meter that I mesured the signal with as in my EMF video here: ua-cam.com/video/yztcIwRUz58/v-deo.html Another option for devices without wifi is to connect a USB A or C ethernet adapter and it might work.
