"Drop the bastard" doesnt mean the tray. Hes refering to all the drinks as a bastard
Yes, thanks for clarifying. “Give me a tray or I’ll drop the bastard.” = “Give me a tray otherwise I’ll drop all of the drinks.”
Well done knackers
Pissed = Drunk, Pissed off = Angry.
Piss off = go away
Thanks for useful video
You’re welcome!
Thx mate . May I know if you have any courses? In addition, can you advise me on places where I can improve my Australian language?
Glad to hear it was helpful! Yes, we do have courses. If you don’t mind sharing your email with me, I’ll send you an offer! bensherry.ed@gmail.com We have a course called ‘Understanding Aussies’ to help with what you’re looking for. I don’t know of any other resources that are effective, which is why I made this course. Hope to hear from you! Cheers

Yay. More than one person knows
👍
Super helpful
I’m glad to hear that!
You’re just using other common English words for the same thing 😂
Yep! The problem is, English learners often learn the ‘standard’ one, then go into an English speaking environment not knowing the other common ones. That’s why these videos are useful for some people, but probably not useful for you.
Great! More options instead of saying bye bye at all 😆
Haha yes! 👍
🎉😊😊
Which of the ideas in the video are new for you?
Whats that buff deer doing there
He’s a long way from home
I like the video thanks 😊
I’m glad to hear that!
Bro like no one uses these complicated az words
Bro like how are these complicated?
I use the Auzzie expressions more than standard English, and I'm English, could this be because I watched too much neighbours and home and away?
You can never watch too much Neighbours and Home and Away.
Love it ❤
Thanks! 🙏
Hey Ben can’t wait dir the next one ❤
Thank you!
Do not use bugger off in certain situations: talking to, your parents, cops, teachers, cockroaches.
Agreed. It's similar to 'go away' or 'get out of here', but it can also be used in a friendly way, especially if someone is referring to themselves. A: "Alright, well I think it's time for us to bugger off." B: "Thanks for coming to the party!
What about cockroaches tho mate
The first 2 are more american than the American one's wtf
Classic American to think that “standard” means American 🇺🇸
@@aussieslanggang I'm American it's the only thing I know duhh
🥲
Thank you for your videos
🙏
Jenny?
You seem uncertain?
Thanks for the tips! To be honest, I'm not an outgoing and enthuastic person. It feels like I have to be in order to adapt the into the social in Aus.
Although it is helpful to be outgoing, I don't think you have to be especially outgoing to have nice conversations with people in Australia. The most important thing is showing an interest in another person, even if it's just for a few minutes. I would argue this is important in any country - not just Australia!
Wow this is SOOO helpful! I clicked into this video thinking I can learn some hacks on making a life in Australia But it ends up feeling like a mentoring session, on how I can relate to other human beings better and socialize with a better cultural understanding! Communication skill updated for sure.🤟 Thank you so much!Awesome stuff! Definitely checking out the free community.
Thank you for the heartfelt comment! I’m glad the video is useful for you. I look forward to meeting you in the community!

The Things to not ask part is so helpful! Hope to get more of these videos
Glad it was helpful!
It's weird that we finished a conversation but said nothing 😆 Btw, to conclude, do we need to avoid asking people something personal?
It's very strange, but very normal for us Aussies! 😂 To answer your question, I would recommend talking to the person for a while about general things before asking personal questions - it can reduce the risk of making the other person feel uncomfortable. Some Aussies are very sensitive to some topics; other Aussies are super laid-back (I think this is true in most countries). So, I usually encourage people to be cautious and patient to avoid a bad outcome.
