So true German schemes are challenging. I only hand paint and it is the only time I think I have to use a paint gun. Cant do that overlay of colors. Hope you have a good time building the kit and thank you for the comments

Good morning, thank you for your comments. For the bridge I used the same technique I used for my ship Batavia. I I painted a coat of Humbrol 94 acrylic (you can use any beige color as undercoat), and then passed over it with Liquitex acrylic burnt umber. There is another option, that of using oil paint. Again undercoat with a beige or creamy color and then apply oil paint. You can see my video for the Eduard Albatros D. Va. I just didn't want to bother with the oil paint for that small area. It needs time to dry. The oil paint though creates beautiful woodgrain strokes. Hope I helped and one advice to you. If you are planning of doing the version I did do not make the mistake of painting the white lines on the hull (2:00 of my video)

Thank you so much. Always felt bad about the sub cause i lost first place due to one glaring mistake which was the black i used for the tower. It came out shiny compared to the flat paints i used for the rest. On the other hand a few years ago i would not have even thought of taking part to competitions. Learning never stops. :). Give it a go. Great kit

WAY TOO MANY so called judges at model contest's get super uptight about the shade of color or the actual coloer or whatever. AND THEY ARE ALL WRONG. In a combat environment, plane ship, armor-whatever they used the paint they had. SOMETIMES, enemy paint was used. This subject about "The Wrong Color" turns me completely off. Good morning, thank you for your comments. The flags used are the flags included in the box. I never add pieces or decals to upgrade. I do all models with the items provided in the box. You can download the instructions from Revell and see the decals. Of course Revell as some other companies never included flags or decals with the swastika that is why is just a a white circle.
