3 years later, I am torn between getting a VRS TDI or a Passat 2.0 TDI (150hp-190hp if I can find a good deal). Which one would you go for?
I would definitely choose the Passat. In my opinion the VRS tdi Octavia is just slightly "sportier looking" diesel Octavia. The Passat is overall a bigger and more comfortable car. And with these engine options, both are going to feel similarly quick.
@TomKosCars yeah, those are my thoughts exactly. The only thing that edges me towards the vrs is the passing power. I have never owned a car that could overtake in 2 lane county roads without having to pray first. The Passat seems much better insulated and quiet. I do love that. Thank you!!

Can you replace these bulbs to h9/h11 led bulbs (bigger ones that come with a fan)? Like some sort of a conversion kit?
I suppose you could, but i don't see a reason to do it. If you have a problem with very bad light output, the projector bowls inside the headlights are burned and don't reflect light anymore. You will need to get them either replaced or refurbished.

How to change the other side? It is significantly less spaceful 👀
You have to manage to squeeze in your hand somehow, otherwise unscrew and take out the headlight.
