What is your opinion of purchasing a home within a 1-1.5 mile radius? Do you think it’s a concern selling the property in the future?

Awesome video, thanks for sharing. Im wondering if you might know of a neighborhood I passed through about 10 years ago. I was there for my daughters softball tournament and we drove around Fort Collins. All I can tell you is there was a lake right in the middle of this neighborhood. It was a good sized lake with a trail around it, playgrounds and areas that had bbq pits. I feel like it was on the north side of Fort Collins. Anyway, I fell in love with Fort Collins and I hope to visit there again in the very near future.

I am just waiting for a job to open up for me! When it does, I will be calling you right away!

I agree with you on the wolf re-introduction issue. Doesnt affect the front range, so we shouldnt have a say on it.

You mentioned in a previous video that Ft Collins is not losing or gaining population. This is mostly because the cost of homes IN FoCo. Growth for FoCo is actually happening in Wellington and Timnath.. with Timnath almost being a subdivision of FoCo.

Lol, its cute that you complain about Fort Collins winter snow. We have snow that MELTS off the streets the next day. Thats the NORM, very seldom does snow last for a week on the streets. MILD winters compared to the ENTIRE midwest. We sit in a place where storms simply dont hit as hard.

Trains bisecting the city USED to be far worse, before they re-did the streets to allow trains to go twice the speed through town.

If you come in summer, SWIM in Horsetooth Lake in the swim area... only cost is a parking day pass.

Since moving to WY I have seen 5 moose in less than two years. I trail run a lot and it has terrified me so much that I don’t run trails as much as I would like 😥 You can hide behind trees, but I still would rather not run into one on my own two feet ever again!!

As with any place, it is best to rent and try out the area during the "worst" season. For Colorado, that tends to be winter. Last thing you want to do is spend thousand moving here, purchase an expensive home (which is just average here) only to realize this isn't for you. When I lived in Orlando, I would tell folks to make it through a summer and hurricane season before committing to the area. For Colorado, get into winter sports - skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, sledding, snow tubing, ice skating, and/or snowmobiling. If you get to spring and you can't wait for the next winter - welcome to Colorado! When I lived in Florida, winter was my favorite time of year because it was nice outside - less humid and you don't burst into flames walking outside. In Colorado, I still love winter because I get to go skiing.

Great video as always Izzy! I recall this past summer there were wildfires in several areas along the front range. Im guessing this caused burn scars in acreage that supported a diverse amount of wildlife, including bears, bobcats, & coyotes. Have you noticed more potential dangerous wildlife visiting FoCo/Loveland neighborhoods for food and shelter this winter?

Did I hear that Lennar is coming to Hansen Farm? When are homes supposed to be available?

I moved here from the South and I've never been snubbed by so many people as I have in Fort Collins. They talk about being diverse but there isn't any diversity here at all. It's a small minded stuck up little town. I lived in California for awhile and it was much friendlier there. Fort Collins native residents suck

Compared to Wisconsin, where I currently live, the people in Ft Collins are a lot less friendly, so keep that in mind.

Hey Patrick, are there any new homes with no hoa's in NorCo?

Transients are a huge problem in Fort Collins. Especially the ones in old town causing problems. Its tough being a business owner here.

We were planning to visit Fort Collins and explore a possible move to the area. We contacted a woman by the name of Patricia from the new Commers Membership in order to get some insight into the area. To our surprise, she was very unwelcoming and offered no help. This left us with a very negative impression of Fort Collins, especially when a so calle. d New Commers Membership person was so unkind. So our concern is if this is the attitude of people in Fort Collins.

Living on the Fort Collins trail system has really changed my lifestyle. Access to gym, shopping, parks etc without getting in the car has been the amenity I never knew I was missing and need.

You missed the gem of FC, Adriel Hills, best kept secret.

We lived in Raindance (Windsor) and I absolutely loved it. We had to move back to CA this last June and I miss it oh so much. Maybe one day we will be back. The community was amazing.

Great video!! There is no utopia. There always will be some give and takes. I look for Climate, and if climate change has affected the area, and what the city or state is doing to mitigate it, the cost of living including median single family home/condo/rental, utilities, groceries (because if you can't can't afford it, everything else is a moot point), healthcare (getting older is no joke), crime and safety, transportation/walkability/bikeability, arts and culture, food and dining, the local economy, (yes, where's the nearest Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Apple Store), what amenities are important to have close to me. Political climate is important too, although I respect people's opinion. Once I obtain this information, I usually put it in a spreadsheet and compare where I live now, or another place that's on my radar.

Not to get political, but. If you're looking to move to FoCo. Expect judgmental ignorant mouthy folks. Kinda like Boulder. We love ya though ✌🏻💚
