The repair you made was to the ignition switch connector, where do I buy the parts to repair? I would appreciate the information. Excellent video. Thank you.

Hi, the choke mount on my carbs is missing. I bought the bike in boxes and can’t find this part on the parts diagram. Do you have a part no for it. Thanks in advance Paul
Where do you get all the genesis parts ?
Trying to put back together. I changed that engine before, having trouble putting back. I pulled that bolt half out for some reason that hold back wheel on, now it won't go back in.
also, lost bolts that hold bottom side bar, engine cartage, can't find right size.
hello, please kindly advise the best carb kit for this model ? I went to mikuni direct but they don't have some jets.. what brand do you recommend when rebuilding the carb ? Thank you so much
My friend I ve a Yamaha fzx750 with an oil leak at the point of the drive gear..my question is can I start the disassembly from the bottom of the motor so I can fix it or I ve to do it from up. thanks in advance
Such a problematic bike,I own one and it's cabs sucks
Just for our reference, what do you think your total time was performing this job, not including camera work and set up for viewability? I may be getting an FZX700 soon and will be doing this.
10:45 What part is that?
That is the oil pump
@@jh-tech5546 Thank you very much in which part is the starter clutch ?

@@jh-tech5546 Niceeeee thank you very much you are very helpful
Thank you for this. Mine have been apart for a long time. This gives me hope. 86 fzx700s, arkansas USA
A friend stripped out the sprocket nut threads and was asking about replace the shaft... Your video just resumes and explain it all. Thank you ! Great work! 😎🤓
Tiene el manual mecanico
Fuck man now you show this i already done cut mine off lol fuck it
God, that is a jewel of a motor. Up there with the CBX and the gear cam VFR.
I reassembled my rear mstr cyl but it will not draw from the reservoir. Any suggestions?
Ensure the seals are oriented the correct way. And some form of vacuum bleeding tool can help to get the filling started. Good luck 🤞
engine 4L1 = RD250LC
engine 4L1 = RD250LC
How long did that take?
Not sure, around 1.5 hours I would guess.
some of rd have 4 shifter forks, is there another model?
Sorry, I don't know of any model with 4 forks. Maybe older RD air cooled model?
Amazing Job done, Congrats.
Thanks!
Lovely work
Thanks for your comment!
Wow! For most people wanting to get a case repaired, the answer from most commercial shops would be "no". And if they did, the costs would be prohibitive. This is truly an example of ingenuity and craftsmanship at its finest. Nice job and great to see another bike saved from the parts bin.
Thanks for your comment Ken!
Nothing short of amazing. That’s how you save unattainable parts.
Thanks for your comment!
Yamaha 4L1 is not a 350 LC....its a 250 LC
You are correct. The crankcases left the factory in a 250.
Seems like you know what you are doing.
Thanks for your comment! I am just trying :)
Excellent content, very good editing quality and above all great work, I am waiting for the next chapter, greetings
Hi, maybe damaged 2nd gear pinions. The problem is you have to split the cases to check. It also might be the selection locking mechanism behind the clutch. Maybe check that first.
It needed the airbox to run correctly without it it's lean
Yeah, it doesn't run well without.
Sorry, I don't understand what you try to mean about the wheels. Please explain?
Putting back together what thought blown head gasket. Gasket not blow and just tightening the head bolts would of probably resolved. Big job, waste of time. It's was ten times easier putting a entire engine in in one piece, then this tear down. Waste of time. My recommendation is instead of tear down, just replace engine as a whole.
Yes, replacing the engine is much faster and can be cheaper. You just have to be sure the engine you get is in good condition. For me it was also as hobby so I don't mind spending the time.
@@jh-tech5546 I may have to replace. Probably get back together enough to junk.
@@jh-tech5546 Got engine together, haven't put together enough to see if run. Now, my son lost all frame bolts when he moved bike when I was out of town. What size are those front frame, 13mm or 15mm? Only that one long bar on bottom of engine for mount? Keep looking for diagrams online but nothing clear enough to help.
what's the size on the gap gauge?
The spec is between 0,11 mm and 0,20mm for intake and between 0,21 and 0,30 for exhaust. Is that answering your question?
I made a deal today for one of these bikes. Hopefully, it will be my next week. I felt in love with this bike the minute I saw it.
Nice. Thanks for sharing.
How long di it actually take to assemble?
Not sure, I guess one or two hours.
@@jh-tech5546 Very cool video mate, thank you. A very long time ago I did two seasons of racing on a 350LC. It was a magical experience. Those were good days.
Zen Master! 🙏
Thank you!
<Translated: Did you happen to remember to put a bump stop/buffer on the shock absorber rod? Well, great job.> Thank you. Yes for a short moment. I don't think there is one on from the factory so I left it like that. But I think in case this shock absorber doesn't work well in the future it should be replaced.
Parabéns pelo capricho
Really nice job, is there an opportunity to contact you and ask something specific about the hoses from the carbonator and fuel tank ?
Hi, feel free to ask here, maybe it is interesting for others too. Or you can mail me, mail (see channel details).
Please talk.
I just picked up a blue red and white 85. The only available graphic kit is the red and white like this one, which I think looks way better. Question is, is the red a slight metallic or pearl or just a bright red?
The red is a two stage metallic or pearl. To be honest I don't know the difference between the two. It is not a bright red. I got a decal kit from The Image Works in the UK but as you can see mine is a hybrid. It is a 87 with the 85 front fairing so I could not use the decals on the rear.
@@jh-tech5546 Ok thanks. Im a body paint guy. It must be the same color as the fender on mine then.
@@theoriginalmungaman The color is called Stormy Red and the white is Sliky White
Incredible work you do! You are a craftsman ! Inspirational stuff right there
Thank you! Appreciate it. The same can be said for you man. I like your video's too. They inspire me too. The GSX-R is going to look great.
You keep inspiring me dude! Question: Do you sell these after you're done restoring them? Or are you keeping them for your own collection? Either way, it's really cool.
Thanks for the comment. For now I still have all the bikes. And would like to keep them in my collection if possible. I won't be riding this one I think. But I have restored it ready to ride.
Merci!
Wow!! Great job, it is looking amazing. Thanks for the videos on this bike
Thank you!
Wow!! It's like new. Great job. I can't wait to hear this thing running. I noticed so many similarities with the FZR1000 again.
Thanks Ken. I am really happy with the end result. The fairings have not been restored apart from repairing some cracks but no paint job. So it still has some scratches and small cracks here and there but I will leave it for now. Yes, FZ, FZR and YZF 750 an 1000 (Thunderace) have a lot in common.
@@jh-tech5546 From the videos, you can't see any flaws in the panels whatsoever. Can't wait to hear it run and to see you riding it!!
