Hey man thanks for reviewing this. I have a question about the tape.. does it serve a purpose to only tape the bottom or is it just preference. I've seen a few videos where it's taped like yours and was curious. I noticed the blade has some grippy stuff on it and was wondering if I'm a fool to tape it over all the way. This is my first new stick in years and I hadn't really kept up on new tech. Thanks!

Just had my son fitted for a pair yesterday. He’s turning 16 in August. We spent a whole day driving to 3 different stores. He tried on every size possible in CCM Bauer and true TF9. He’s on the ice 5-6 days out of the week so he needs skates that will hold up. Past 2 seasons has been very hard to find skates because they all make his pinky toe fold over the next toe. If he goes bigger they hurt the middle part of his foot. I usually get him the second best skate in the line up. No need to spend more then $650 on a pair of skates at his age. Unfortunately I had to because of his sizing issues. I sure hope the true skates will solve the issue.
