Spent 9 hours yesterday threading a 600 end project while tracking threading on my iPad. Iweavit made up shaft numbers that didn’t exist in the first 12 threads causing me to have to completely UNDO 9 hours of work!!! At one point I also bumped the screen causing the stupid thing to jump way ahead and causing me to lose my place. The threads are literally as fine as hair and very difficult to count. In all my years of weaving, the ONLY time I’ve EVER made a threading mistake was with this STUPID tracker!!!

I have set my EPI at 8 and ppi at 5 for an 18” x 12” place mat. The program is showing I need 500 heddles for my 4 shaft loom! It seems to be something about pattern repeats but my pattern is only 32 ends. How do I control the number of repeats?

What a great program! I have made a basic pattern to calculate how much yarn would be needed for curtains for three windows. But I also have Brooks bouquets every 10 cm. How do I calculate them? How do I get them into the pattern drawing? Several of the menus I do not understand at all and I have difficulty understanding many terms because my English extends to everyday words. So maybe everything I'm asking for is already in the program, even though I don't understand it? Have seen the help file (pdf) for iWeavIt - does it also work as help for Mac? (I've used google translate Swedish/English - so sorry if the text is weird)

A suggestion that the treadling order under the tie up you should be able to put the number of picks per treadling because of needing to know for the tabby you may have to have between each pick

After re-watching this, I have a question: After drawing the threading guide you counted the threads and said something to the effect that you will use a 8-dent, than you counted four, and said "four eight so that comes out correctly." I don't understand this part. Could you please explain?

Note to the developer: I'm using the iPad version for designing patterns for my rigid heddle. I just bought the Project Calculator add on, very useful! It gave me right-on calculations for yardage. It also showed me a right-on thread count for a repeat of my pattern. Nifty! But to get to the real point of this comment... I would so love to be able to set up and edit my pattern using that Warp Color Table!! I would happily pay for that as an add on. It would save me an hour+ of my time in setting up, and make editing so much faster too. You could allow the colors to be edited, and add a box asking how many times to repeat the pattern. ooooo that would be so great. Parametric design...

This answered a lot of questions for me, thank you for your time and effort. It was a little confusing because since the only way I've seen rigid heddles threaded is with loops, (I am a newbie) with the slots and shafts threaded in pairs using the loop, resulting in a pair of a slot and a hole with the same color. I'm guessing you are showing alternating colors for slots and shafts is to home in the definition of the shafts: the slot and holes. Thank you for your help.

I am just learning to weave with double headles. As I sat and watched the segment showing the last pattern, my mouth dropped open, and I am still stunned. I suspect that the technical aspects of transcribing 4-shaft patterns for 2 rigid heddles is something I'll need to take a separate class in. As of this particular moment, it's all as clear as mud!!

I just got this app yesterday to help me with a double wide weaving project. Previously I had taken a class on weaving with two experts, and we worked with the color program quite a bit. But try as I might, I simply can NOT follow the directions for getting my draft set up. It is frustrating to spend so much money on something I am too slow to comprehend!! I have watched the first two videos - several times - and have spent the last day an a half trying to work on a simple double-width tabby weave. The help page explains definitions well, but the directions are not easy to follow, and you have to keep skipping from screen to screen. Is there any way to "return" this program and get my money back? Turns out I am NOT a "PRO," or even close. There is so much free stuff online, I can't believe I spent nearly $200 on this frustrating waste of time.

Hi. I really enjoyed your patient step by step videos. At the moment I am weaving 3 shaft diamond twill on a Schacht Flip loom with two heddles. Front up, back up, both down. There is a difference in the heddle blocks between the Schacht Flip and the Ashford you are using. With the Schacht the down position puts all the heddles together, slid to the back under the heddle block. So it is definitely not possible to have any heddle up while another is in the down position. The back heddle can be in neutral while the front is in down, but the front heddle cannot go into neutral with the back heddle in down. So the best option for converting multi-shaft drafts with complex tie ups on the Schacht involves making all shafts lifted. There are 3 slots for heddles, so I have been using 3 heddles and a pick up stick. This also makes any tie up or lift plan possible. I thought you might like to know that the Schacht works a little differently. (Also, sadly... iWeaveit does not seem to be available for Android OS, at least not in my region.)
