All 3 of those you mentioned are literally the next 3 on my list, lol. Currently chasing a Carribean sheepsfoot as well for my Summer knife.
I like that people still do Malibu reviews. It is a classic.

New sub! I need one to show off on my channel. Have a good one!
I got a Bailout 2 weeks ago from SMKW, when they ran a promo with a free hat and a multitool. People hate on the 3v Bailout, but since they upped the hardness, it became my most carried knife, it managed to dethrone both Kershaw Livewire OTF and the Spyderco Shaman as my favourites. I just wish they made the pommel out of steel or titanium, so I could use it as a light-duty pry tool, but overall great knife!
Just picked one up. This knife rules
I love the bailout. I have the green aluminum M4 for past couple years. Fantastic knife, I just bought this 3v version as well, got it on sale so that made it sweeter!
@@plynch113 that M4 bailout is a blade I’ve wanted to pick up since I got the 3v one but it (just like most Benchmade knives) I just way too much cost for materials in my mind so I’ve been waiting for it to go on sale
No way would I get a compound grind blade in a super steel. Eek.
@@BeepTalford-nu8mm honestly in this one it’s so subtle it may as well not even be considered one, even when I use the full length of the edge it never interferes
Great video. Okay, are my eyes playing tricks on me or is the 15v version you have much bigger than the S110V LW!? Tha scales and even the blade look larger on the 15V, but maybe it's the camera angle. Based on the stats from Blade HQ and the Spyderco website these two versions are supposed to be very similar in physical dimensions.
@@dengised321 it’s the angle absolutely! They are the same size overall!
Yeah, That's the problem with Amazon. The Golden, Colorado U.S.A. Earth is so bad on that. Also, the jimping is trash.
I love the carBONE 😂 Bought the No.8 now ( in carBONE) and love it. Bang for the money for sure!
They're not different, it's all ther same crap. Spyderco's motto is "A sucker is born with every sprint run" Also shuuuuuuuuuuut up about the "Different tasks in my life" It's a knife. You're justification for getting the same thing over again is poor. Just say you want to collect them and quit being dense about it.

I just one in OD green. 212.00 I love this knife. Made 6/24. I have the black blade.
Is the Omega Springs what make the able lock have a detent? Just got mine and it has a bad detent or non at all. Like if I shake it hard enough downwards the blade shoots out. Any ways of fixing this?
Honestly no, I believe the only way to do anything would be get some replacement omega springs that are tighter retention
I would also say possibly tightening your pivot could make a change if it is loose or has blade play
@@cheaperthanyouthink2646 Do you have a link for tightest omega springs because I tightened the pivot all the way and still the same thing

Getting better with the edits i see
Taking it a Day at a time😂
i have this with carbon fiber scales, love the knife but its just too big for me..the cf scales makes it feel so much better !
I have the same version. And I still can’t decide whether I want to change the scales, and what to change to, carbon or aluminum.🤭
So the carbon fiber scales I bought were from VotixEDC and although the quality is there, the fit is off, mine actually has a fair bit of side to side blade play
@@cheaperthanyouthink2646 Ohh. Thanks for your feedback.
Original Goat is always a safe bet on aftermarket scales. I have a set of their aluminum scales on a Houge Deka and it totally upgraded the whole feel of the knife. I am actually watching reviews right now to decide if this will be my next knife purchase, with every intention of buying a set of OGs to slap on it
@@Warsmith_Honsou aluminum, my carbon fiber scales weren’t sized properly, leaving mine with a lot of side to side blade play and made me have to required. They also still have that over the top lightness feel the grivory have, which wouldn’t bug me if there were liners. The heft brought by the aluminum and the more rigid feel make it way better in my mind especially coupled with the fact it doesn’t add much weight to a knife that’s pretty darn big.
Nice. I tried all 5 at local store and all 5 had bad lock stick. Ended up picking up a sage 5 lw and couldn't be happier
I wish Microtech would make a smaller version of the MSI. More pocket friendly
I could not agree with you more. I am a California resident and although legal in my county, carrying a big knife is definitely frowned upon. I could definitely use a 7.5-8’ version of this guy
Agree. Although I like the MSI, it feels overly large in my small hands.
Where did ya get those
VotixEDC but I will say, these scales for me have a little blade play and they do take a long time to get back to you and take a long time to ship. I haven’t seen a lot of people with these complaints but this was my experience with them!
You can purchase those foreign made products for a cheaper price, but if you desire an American made knife with “Benchmade” style warranty and support, you’re going to have to pay the “Benchmade Tax”. Plain and simple. Purchase your knife with construction appropriate for your needs and you will always be satisfied. You ‘ll never find a two or three ounce knife that is suitable to be used as a splitting wedge for oak timber . Plain and simple. This knife is great for every day carry such as cutting cardboard boxes, envelopes, and food items. It may suffice in an emergency where you had to cut your way out of a sticky situation, as well. A beautiful and very useful knife is how I sum it up.
Nice knife
Welcome to the club. The reason they break prematurely is because the springs are heat treated in large batches. Some come out of the process heat treated correctly and others don’t. It’s a total crap shoot due to a lack of qc. I have sent my 940 back to benchmade 4 times in the last 4 years due to omega springs breaking. I had my 5th one break and said fuck it and chucked it in my junk drawer. The heat treat on the s30v is garbage anyway. The coil spring on the Manix 2 never fails. It’s totally superior to the axis lock in terms of strength and reliability.
And the Microtech ram locks are the same way as the Manix
@@cheaperthanyouthink2646 not really. The Manix uses a ball bearing. The ram lock is more akin to an axis lock that uses a coil spring. It is also not as secure. It has shown to fail a spine wack test which the Manix lock handled with no issues on the CBRx UA-cam channel.
@@BrandonMeyer1641 they did do a total redesign on the lock that has been with standing the spine wack test, both my MSI and Amphibian have withstood the same tests I do with my compression lock, shark locks, and tri ad lock. I do know that it was a big problem tho in the past, I just havent seen the problem with my models that have the updated system
You pronounce shaman correct
I love counterfeit spyderco Its get the job done with just a few dollars not hundreds dollar
Barrel spacers
Spyderco's are so ugly
lol you are not wrong
The 940 has been said to be the worlds strongest and best folding knife on the planet. It doesnt set the bar for knifes it is the bar. Also thats a purple back spacer not pink. Benchmade has the best warranty out there, plus they can sharpen your knifes for you so win win. S30V is a super steel.
It is always going to be regarded as a top tier knife. The reason in today’s age it doesn’t seem to get its flowers as much as it used to is because benchmades pricing as well as dodgy politics in recent years. I will say the axis lock is an extremely strong lock, where things begin to get questioned is omega spring strength, I’ve broken one in the past and that will always be a cause for concern for all crossbar style locks
Get the new Salt version lol. That's my new fav para 2
The only other variation I have rn is a knife center exclusive in cru-wear. It is an insane knife
I want it any I will buy it.
Good luck getting a splinter out with a big blade... my opinel no9 has the tip thats like a pin point.. i much prefer smaller blades with fine geometry
It is within the realm of possibility haha
As far as i know, standoff and barrel spacer are interchangeable
Great video! I just got mine from BladeHQ two weeks ago. I Love it!!!!!
You need more lightning to much shadows
My channel budget: 💩 haha
That’s not a CLONE, it’s a COUNTERFEIT because it bears the Spyderco insignia. A clone is legal, but a counterfeit is illegal.
I actually didn’t even think of that myself!
This was hurtful video also confusing. The" sh-ah-men " is a mocho-man knife not a cupcake knife. I never understood when an EDC'er crys over they're knives getting scuffed the F up and dirty ? O NO WHAT A NIGHTMARE ! And hot spots ? SO WHAT ? Grip the knife by the blade make it scream ! Go buy a Benchmade those are good poptart knives cough cough bugout cough !
Haha, I mean I do get your point, I will say a counter argument would be this is a special edition they’re only gonna do one run of. I think it’s definitely gonna come down to what your perspective would be on it, I would personally just say I like keeping the special edition clean and special none the less
@cheaperthanyouthink2646 sorry if I word harsh my apologies. I do understand some knives are hard to come by know a day's or nights ? Like I have a large banter I box that knife because it's to dam awesome for my to go through life events with it till I get a back up ? But it is scared up and used. But I also think pay more then 200$ pocket it use it ! Back it up if you can.thought I lost my mad tanto right away bought another one found the MIA now I got a back up ? If it's good back it up ! What do gun people live by ? Better to have two then to loose one and be unarmed ? Sorry those are my words.
Did you say that you think that the lightweight version is smoother in your opinion, and if so, why?
Sometimes it’s just a matter of the pivot. Factory can make it overly tight or loose. With these models I believe it’s the washer system, they’re both on phosphor bronze washers but one is bronze on steel liners whilst the other is bronze on frn which will make the knife run smoother. It’s the same with the pm3 and the pm3 light weight.
Great vid. I do love my Benchmades. And I’m a big fan of the mini grip, but I do have a full size as well. Tough as knife.
One of my favorite users fs, new handles made the knife incredible to use
The lock stick will only increase if you keep opening the blade with the spyderflick that agressive.
So this video was made not soon after I had picked this knife up and the detent was relatively stiff for the first few weeks I had it, hence the aggressive flick haha. I can promise it’s a lot better 2 years later
