I’m a Baby Boomer who has run a successful business but now wants to explore my interests in video, photography and new tech gadgets. I figured, what better way to do that then to start a UA-cam channel. It will never be perfect, and at times, messy but we’ll learn new stuff together and have some fun along the way. Cropping in on the Q3 looks the better of the two cameras. I normally shoot with a 35-40mm equivalent lens so setting the Q3 to take photos at 35mm as standard would give more than enough image quality and save on file size too. And another advantage of the Q3 is it sensor, a full frame sensor that has larger pixels to gather light than the APS-C sensor. I do love the image quality of the Fujifilm cameras of which I have owned many since 2012, but I feel Fuji has lost its mojo, and the quality of the cameras has gone in the wrong direction… my X100VI had to have serious repairs not long after getting it. I’m looking at getting the Q3 to replace my X100VI & X-T5… 🏴
It’s interesting that at the 35mm equivalent the Q3 offers 39MP, while the X100 VI offers 40MP. I agree with you, the Q3 offers many advantages over the Fuji (initial cost not one of them - lol). For studio recording, vocals, and just singing in general; which microphone would you recommend? I've spent the last two days trying to decide and really can't come to a conclusion. Would you also maybe recommend me getting both microphones to see which one I like better? If so, what's the best way of approaching that? I could also send a video link to what my voice sounds like, if that would help. Thank you!
Thank you for your question. All three of the microphones in this video would be classified as talking head, streaming or studio interview mics, I would not consider them designed for singing. My favorite of the three is the Ethos, giving it the edge over the Shure due to size and design - audio quality on the SM7B and Ethos are both outstanding, while the Rode mic is a budget alternative. Often when I am deciding between two products, I purchase both from a vendor (B&H or Amazon), test them out myself and the return the one I don’t choose - that may be your best option. Mics do sound different based on individual users voices so testing is a good idea. Hope this helped. Stay well and thank you for watching.

I tried these out but the color shift is quite bad compared to other VND filters. It’s nit great on many for the Osmo Pocket 3 in General, that I just use Solid NDs instead of variable ones.
Hadn’t noticed color shift but turning (and reading) level of VND was impossible for me. I, too, prefer the fixed ND’s. Thanks for sharing and watching.
Great Video !! I have the GO3s and Action Pod but I will Travel and the Pod is Little but to big and unwieldy for my vlogs and pockets I think… Now I have the Aurich Reader. I am think about if I Travel to Japan alone with the GO3s and let my pod at home?! What you think ?
That would work, so long as you don’t need to download any firmware updates while traveling - need that action pod to download firmware updates. With the reader (no action pod) you can download files and charge the Go 3S. Enjoy your travels. Thank you so much for watching.

Nice cost-benefit analysis, essential for any pricy (and not-always-well-behaved) product in our belt-tightening age. If only we had more of this and less hype (looking at you influencers out there).... Anyway, I think the pod is well-designed and useful. And it's nice of Insta360 to allow compatibility between 3/3S.

This is not K & F Concept product. This is made in china and only "K & F Concept" logo printed on it. I have same exact base but with the name of "PULUZ". just in few days one of my Samsung original charging adaptor and cable is not supporting the charger. Earlier it was supporting. It does not support Webcam and data transfer. I suggest to buy Ulanzi PK-10 OR PK-11 which supports Webcam and Data transfer. Just spend some more money and buy trustworthy brand.

Agree. Two great features. The person recognition is my favorite. Very useful shooting soccer/sports. The eye-autofocus is pretty magic stuff, but a tad glitchy for me if my face is not pressed up against the view finder tightly.

@ I’m using an IPhone. I’m not using any app. I’m only mirroring my video with the WIFI connected
Yes, that is correct. When mirroring you cannot payback with audio, you must stop mirroring. I believe when the iphone mirrors it transfers the audio playback to the mirrored device - the Newmowa has no audio playback feature, thus you get no audio playback when mirrored to Newmowa. Given its price some limitations are expected. - I primarily use it for recording not for playback. It’s still a neat tool for using the rear cameras.

Mark, this is great! The timing of this couldn't;t have come at more perfect time! I was trying to film my next video using the Blackmagic app and had to do some test shots with the rear facing camera on my iPhone. I find using my watch or iMac makes the video go off sync with my audio. I'll probably end up getting one from your link.

Is there lag when using wired vs wireless. I use my Android phone at 1080p for vlogging. Will this work wired with it?
@TexpatOTG I use a iPhone and I experienced no lag at 1080 on either wired or unwired. While using the black magic app I experienced no lag at 4K when wired and not wired but there was a lag when I used the iPhone video app. Hope that helps. I really enjoy this small monitor. Great video,Mark! That SSD has some amazing speed with transfer (and editing if used so) Do you find yourself running out of storage space when out recording? The reason I ask is I use the 1TB cloud storage and then AirDrop those ProRes files to my SSD.
