Awesome machines... I have always preferred Yamaha, right from the FZR1000. I now own a 1997 red and white Yzf1000R~Thunderace, but recently been playing with the idea of upgrading to the YZF-R1. Good video and great information, thanks for sharing. Best wishes from the Lone Wolf in the lakes. 🕊

1100 was sold in Canada, also a 750.

That GSX 1100 SXZ is a real collectors item 90KW compared to 82 W for the standard one. I had a Katana 1000 that I bought new in 1983 for R 3300 (South Africa) , loved that bike I would still have it if it hadn't been stolen!

Awesome video mate, my first bike was an rgv250 vj22, it was the best bike I've ever owned.

My dad had one exactly like that here in SA. He put it on the back wheel wearing shorts and flip flop sandals and ended up with the exhaust breaking then slicing through the bridge of his foot almost completely amputating it

Love the 89 ZXR750, a mate down the road had one and used to pull a wheelstand every morning going past my place just to be a smart arse.
