GM FBODY MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP INSTALL. #diy #racecar
In this video I show and go over the mechanical fuel pump install on car and what it took. I go in depth on tricks to make the install easier and what tools and parts are needed. This install directly applies to gm fbody cars but a lot of the same principles and procedures will apply on multiple platforms and LS engine combos. Part links below minus fittings as these change depending on pump and regulator location. Thanks for the support! #racecar #dragrace #diy

RADIATOR FAN CONTROL FOR FT450-FT600 USING YELLOW OR BLUE OUTPUTS. #fueltech #diy #race
Переглядів 499Рік тому
This video shows you how you can control your radiator fans during a pass with your fueltech software using a blue or yellow output. You can also set up a generic output which uses an input wire for a trigger to send power to a designated output. This was just an easy way for me to controls fans without having to switch wiring connections etc. If you are using a standard output like mine this i...

      I had prep I could use but they don’t want anything on those rollers and I don’t blame them. We could see in the data that wheel speed and rpm was spiking. The converter in the car is a billet unit from circle D so it’s ready for anything we throw at it

    For my st2126lsr's, with the lifter on the base circle, I r&r'ed my adj pr checker in the hole until I found 0 lash, measured with digital caliper, and added 35 thou. Repeat for all other pr's. Then, I tried to group the lengths into smaller groups and ordered from Manton.

    • @semi-prosgarage
      @semi-prosgarage Рік тому

      There are different ways to go about checking for proper preload. I just choose to do it this way to load the lifter and spring and make sure different cylinders measure the same. Also making sure to account for change in tolerance once the engine is warm.

    they make a piston stop to the spring loaded so you can tell when your crank and the motor over it'll push the spring and the piston stop up then you'll see when it hits top dead center instead of a piston stop that doesn't have a spring I've seen them get bent

    I'm planning on doing similar dual solenoid configuration, but my pressure source will be boost pressure. My car is setup for circuit and road courses, so I'm interested in the boost range and tunability of the dual solenoids, but not the extra tanks etc, for a compressed air or CO2 storage

    • @semi-prosgarage

      Yes using the manifold or map sensor pressure instead of dome works also but tended to be too finicky on my combo. Once the program is setup you will love the simplicity and how easy it is to change on the fly

    Super valuable info, thank you! I really like the info on the bump/scramble button as well as using the 3step to build boost. I've got a tight converter on a 92/103 turbo so it takes a solid 4-5 sec to make 7psi at 4000rpm. Gonna try out the 3 step and hopefully reduce my staging time.

    • @semi-prosgarage

      It will cut that time in half I’d bet. Adding a dump valve to your transmission will also do wonders. I have almost the same size turbo and I can build 16 lbs in about 2.5-3 second at 4500rpm

      @@howardhutchinson it is most definitely a feature when using an input to trigger a second target boost table. Under one of the boost settings you enable the drop down called table switching and select the input of the button you are using. Create a 2nd boost table that is a higher target than your first table and when you hit the input the ECU will now target that boost level. I will end up making a video going more in depth with the boost settings and plumbing etc on Part 3
