    So what would be a good motor for a stock build gun, if i didnt wanna hear the whiney noises of the stock motor? Like, whats a good switch that wouldn't cost much but will make the gun more efficient with both fps and rps?

    Tips from me: Check the radius in all view, basically 3D. because if not, it may look radiused from outside, but in inside, there are part of the gearbox that if we consider 3D direction of crack, it still needs to be radiused also. It may complicated, but typically, radiusing with 2mm diameter diamond file until it form 3/4 circle is sufficient. 1/2 or less is inadequate

    • @hyperslow556gungamer
      @hyperslow556gungamer Рік тому

      You are saying to make each radius 3/4 the depth of the diameter of the file? A '1.75mm dent'.

      Ok. Then just make sure it's a quality set. You can attempt to get away with a rocket or shs gear set but if this is a replica you don't plan on parting with it may be time to convert to siegetek. Just so you don't risk losing teeth.

    Nice video. I´m entire day searching for something like this. But I have question hope you can reply. I´m going to have p90 from cyma. Soooo I want it high rps. So I´m gonna buy 11.1v battery, 13:1 gears, soft spring (I have cca m90-m100). But I wonder what motor. Motor at what rpm should I buy? I heard 18k-22k but that was only one comment.

    • @sjdude922
      @sjdude922 2 роки тому

      It also depends on your intended FPS/joules. Where ever you play should determine your intended max fps for full auto or burst play. Then finally you need a goal for your ROF. Your current parts sound like 300 to 350 fps depending on your barrel length and cylinder type combo. So an 18k to 20k motor with that garset and batter should get at least 25rps. So yeah final stats will be 300fps like with an m90 spring and 25rps with an 18k motor with 13:1 gears and an 11.1 battery. Also remember the c rating will affect the performance as well. Look for 20 or 30 maximum C rating. That'll get you max performance from the motor without wasting power or creating too much heat.

    • @Shajzemon_SVK
      @Shajzemon_SVK 2 роки тому

      @@sjdude922 We have not fps limits (we know when too much is too much xd). Sooo I want as much rps/rof as is possible without doing complex/expensive dsg build. I have stock cm.060b (today arrived), never disassembled. Spring unknown but probably stronger one (maybe even 120). Sooo let´s say I´d do 13:1, m100-m110, 11.1v I see on shop 20/30c (literally 20/30c) so what xxK motor? Tell me highest K on best performance.

    • @sjdude922
      @sjdude922 2 роки тому

      @@Shajzemon_SVK You can always get a higher quality 45k motor such as an action army or a tienly but then you're hitting the 45+ RPS range and you'll need good mags to feed that. Best performance for me so far is my warhead brushless motor but those aren't cheap. I'd also advise an electronic trigger such as a jefftron leviathan or gate titan. You'll want the ability to tune the build with active braking and precocking for the maximum effective experience.

    • @sjdude922
      @sjdude922 2 роки тому

      The rear corners can be radiused to reduce strain on those corners as well but the minimum requirement for gearbox shell longevity are the front corners touching the cylinder head.

    I highly recommend that all you do is make your gun the best it can be. If the part isnt broken, don't replace it. Leave the dsg's to professionals. In fact if you want smdsg rate of fire, it might be easier to hpa your gun with a p* or wolverine.

    could I get the best of both worlds by buying a 11.1 lipo with high torque engine, high speed low torque ratio gears and a powerful spring. also could an all round higher quality motor have more toque and rpms?

    • @sjdude922
      @sjdude922 2 роки тому

      So first it's math that determines if a build is high speed or not. You can get 30+ rps with 18:1 gears you just need a motor that makes it cycle fast enough and a battery to sustain it. Most people who run high speed gears and a high torque motor are not attempting to get a high rof but a high trigger response. The bigger thing to keep in mind is when using a low cost low ratio gearset, it by design is under more stress so broken teeth is a bigger concern so most players will invest in siegtek gears due to their higher quality materials. On the subject of motors there are only. Few motors right now can effectively handle high tension springs and maintain a high rpm. There are the Tienly motors and the newer brushless motors. I personally use a War Den brushless and it is miles ahead of traditional airsoft motors but it comes at a steep price. If someone has a build in mind I always ask what the budget is and build the gearbox around that. Most players don't want to pay for top tier parts and for the majority of players I would advise it unless you know you'll be a player for life.

    Okay, sorry, but this is so half-assed. You should be using the dremel wheel to rough up all the surface areas of the rack that contact the piston when inserted. Also should be using sand paper or a sharp tool to rough up the rack track in the piston. And then after all that, its CRITICAL that all surfaces are free of any oils. I use 99% rubbing alcohol to wipe everything down several times. You can wet some paper towel with 99% and use a small flat head to thoroughly clean out the rack tracks. Also, for anyone watching, never use grinding wheels indoors. That dust gets everywhere. Including in your lungs if you don't wear a mask...

    • @mikemegadeth4110

      @@sjdude922 nope lol The spur gear has a large set of teeth on bottom that contacts the bevel and smaller ring of teeth above those teeth that contact the sector. The teeth from the spur to sector was 1 tooth short of the teeth on my "18:1" spur gear. Everything else was identical

    • @sjdude922

      30k is the rpm or rotations per minute. That is the speed of the motor. The bigger this number is, the faster it operates and thus makes the replica shoot faster.
