I wanted to touch on a general idea of what cur dogs are and their history. many people have no idea what cur dogs are and where they come from and what they're used for. This is just a breif description of it. I'm no expert on this matter but I have some knowledge that I can share!

This is Awesome, love hearing the history of these animals!
I rescued a puppy from the animal shelter. I was told she was a shar pei/pit bull mix. lol she’s a bmc/staffie mix and stubborn af!! I love her so much I can’t even begin to describe. She’s naughty and bad but she’s good n sweet at the same time. Basically she’s human!!
I LOVE BMC pups. My boy was dumped on the side of a county ass road in Oklahoma as a baby, w his 2 brothers. He's been a blessing! I've had my boy for 15 years and he's never had any health issues. Not even when my other dog got kennel cough. They were boarded together at the same place for the same amount of time and vaxed. He's about 45 lbs and a bit more of a thic boy, a total snug and hunter. He often is the "big spoon" bc yes my dogs sleep in the bed w me. Don't even want to think about the number of times he's brought a unalived animal to the back door. We have lived in an apartment for the past 5ish years and he's been totally fine. We take our walks and he sleeps a lot. He's very smart and after all these years we know how to talk to each other so his needs are met very well.
What bloodlines do you have? Your yella dogs look good
Thanks for sharing! Love the black mouth cur.
I just got a Stephen Cur / Redbone and I’m so used to redbones. I wanted to know more about cur dogs :)
The story behind old yeller... The producer wanted a black mouth cur yet they couldn't find one that could be used in the movie. So they went with a lab mixed with a mastiff... I loved my black mouth curs. Also had blue lacey. Awesome dog's.
A few years ago I had three. They sure saved me and my horses a lot of tracks, going after cattle in some thick brush and rocks. I could tell my horses even appreciated the work those dogs put in. Best dogs I ever had, sure do miss them. Awesome breed, that I'm kind of thankful not a whole lot of people know about.
I have a BMC that I rescued. She's on the smaller side - 35lbs - with beautiful markings. I never knew about the breed, but now ... I'm a believer. She's the calmest, most sensitive, smartest and loving dog I've ever had. She's a city girl, so she needs a lot of walking and playtime - but, I don't mind. She's a joy!
Great information brother
They look very closely related to a coonhound.
I’ve got 2 and a catahula we use them for hog doggin
Alot of great knowledge here
That was a good time!! Really enjoyed it…👍🏻👍🏻!!
Thank you for posting your informative video.
There he is!! Great video…really enjoyed it.
Thanks for sharing. I owned a BMC for a bit and I loved how they were. He did great on yote.
Very entertaining and informative…enjoyed hearing about the mixing of the dogs and the birds. OWLBERT and that setting were great. Keep the wonderful material coming…👍🏻👍🏻!!
OWLBERT is the star of the show
Loving the content brotha! That’s so cool to! Falconry is something new to me, I’ve seen a few people using them to work and much respect to the work that requires. Dogs and birds bro you have now been hunted 🤣🙌🔥
Gotta keep the good blood lines there and Micheal cribbs who is my dad does what he can to do that. Happy you like the dogs you've got from us
Love my yellow cow dog !!!!!!
that white dog looks like a Dogo to me
Great info yall, Where yall get to run at ? Always looking for new areas to run our pack
I have a black mouth mountain cur female from coulee region WI. She is a damn good dog. Prey drive like nothing i have ever seen and nose that can smell an 8 hour cold rainy trail of a coyote. Incredible dog.
Where the hogs jack
💯 THEY Want to go do it NATURALLY 🔥😂 I was just telling someone about that. Super cool to watch and see
Brooo, thank you! For sharing there’s not a lot of videos or outspoken bloodlines unless you know the people in the area. Probably a good thing now that I think of it. The most information I got was from the creator of the Plummer’s Line Raymond Plummer is the name and miss Katie McKee was the breeder. There’s a many good reasons the NALC registry slogan is “not everyone needs a catahoula” I’ll say that! Sad to see an uprise in popularity and now having to rehome because they had no idea what they were getting. The coat is not the only thing leopard like about these dogs 🤙❤️💯🐕🐾🐶

Great video, thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Would love to come out there and hunt with you. God bless, from the uk
Meat dogs true American history
Gritty tree dogs bay dogs tuff not a scented to grab into any thing.
It's so true that Florida is growing at rate that is ruining lots of land and hunting its a shame .
I love hunting with dogs. I hunt with different people differnt style. If they take the time to show me and understand why they do things, it makes sense. Keep the videos coming bro. Yeller power son!
Pudzz breathing heavyyyy
good video buddy ,what do you think using Dogo as catch dog?
Shoot them in the head whenever they fight nothing to stop that
If males fight while hunting then shoot them
The word “CUR” from what I know from growing up in the south is 1 that will quit when the hunt get too rough..
Curs are basically hunting dogs designed to hunt a wide variety of game. The focus is on skills and temperament over appearance. I know a decent amount of knowledge regarding dog breeds.
I think a good dog man is like a good little league sports coach,,you can use the same basics on ya young dog to get him/her started but they learn deferent,,smarter, more hard headed, wants to be a puppy longer. You have to be able to adjust ya training according to the dog to eventually get them where ya want them,,raven hit the woods very quick and very smart,,Lobo is still sitting in a pen at 8 mths cause he's just big goofy pup that wants to run and play he gets excited but short attention span,,so gotta adjust coach
I have a hard time getting mine to not fight all the time. Is there anything you do that cuts down on the males fighting?
What you feed your dogs
Pioneer Dogs…great clip..I run Mountain Curs…you won’t find a more tenacious gritty breed. Gave you a follow check out the clip with my male with his introduction to a coon. I did a long write up with their history. Cur dogs have a stronger bite force than almost all other breeds. Pound for pound between 200 and 400psi
Gritty true American 🇺🇸
Good tree dogs bay dogs can be trained for about any game good family dogs
@@davidjones9518 my female actually started flushing grouse. Just happened naturally at just about a year old last year. My male is intense to watch work they both came out of Oklahoma championship kennels
Great show…thoroughly enjoyed the discussion!!
I ended up with a mountain cur. Knew of the breed, and seen a couple black mouth cur( I'm in northern Indiana. Not a common dog up here). What I'm getting at here is I read These dogs will hunt birds to bear with you. I've been training mine primarily for upland birds, Ruffed grouse, Pheasant, quail, and dove retrieval That she was doing at 5 months. I've had Her on pen raised quail, grouse and pheasant wings. She is doing fantastic. She does OK with retrieving. But after all it's not a retrieving breed. I've had her out with friends that have Brittany's spaniels. She is much more controllable and close Is working. Besides all that she's a sweetheart. Everybody in tractor supply Knows her. I heard one lady say , here comes miss America.
I hunt mountain lions and bears and work cattle with my mountain curs.
A guy that goes by Diamond Grit Cane Corsos has a great bay dog named Sonar. He's a mix of 25% pit 25% catahoula and 50% cuban cur. Love seeing him work. His catch dogs are corsos
Man, your BMC there could be a twin to my dog, except he's male. If not for the gender, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two.
You just said it, good channel dude I love me a good cur dog
