How Many Steps Would it Take You to Beat Pokemon Fire Red?
Today, we're playing Pokemon Fire Red, but we're going to take it a step further and see how many steps it takes to beat the game, then we'll be traveling that distance out in the real world.
Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green / Gen 3 Pokemon are some of my favorite games in the entire series, and I love doing challenges like this. I'd love to hear if there are any others you'd want to see in the future.

Переглядів 84 тис.3 місяці тому
The title says it all. We're at it again, and today we're taking a look at the conventional healing methods in Pokemon: mainly Hyper Potions, Max Potions, and Full Restores to see if they're worth the price tag, or if they're massive SCAMS! Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green are some of my favorite games in the entire series, and after getting some great inspiration from some kind viewers, I want ...
Can You Beat Pokemon FireRed With ONLY Game Corner Prizes?
Переглядів 97 тис.3 місяці тому
Pokemon is a game that revolves around numbers and odds. And what better place to test those odds than at Pokemon Fire Red's Celadon City Game Corner? I was always intrigued by the city as a whole, but most importantly, the Game Corner. So today, I want to see just how hard it would be to not only beat the game with only prize pokemon / moves, but to actually EARN every single coin along the wa...

Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green are some of my favorite games in the entire series, and after getting some great inspiration from some kind viewers, I want to test some other obscure potential scams in the Pokemon world. Join me as we explore this topic through a couple different lenses, and let me k...
Ultra Balls Are Pokemon's Biggest SCAM
Переглядів 79 тис.4 місяці тому
The title says it all. Are Ultra Balls really worth it? Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green are some of my favorite games in the entire series, and today I want to put the catch rates to the test. Are Ultra Balls really worth 6x the price of a Pokeball?? I always wondered whether it would be worth it to catch all of the legendary pokemon in pokeballs over ultra balls, so let's find out. We're going...
The Truth About Comfort Games
Переглядів 3,2 тис.4 місяці тому
Video games like Minecraft, Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley are probably the main ones that come to mind when you think about comfort video games. But what if I told you that there’s a whole other side to this genre? Today, I want to talk exactly about that and explore some more “unconventional” forms of comfort games. Thank you so much for watching, I hope you enjoy. If you watched all my yapp...
The Best Pokemon Games That KILLED The Series
Переглядів 13 тис.6 місяців тому
Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver ruined Pokemon forever. But I'm saying that for good reason. Leading up to the release, we had games like Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Emerald, and Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. It felt like we were on a consistent uprise in terms of the quality of the games, and Heart Gold / Soul Silver were no exception. My problem lies mainly with the stuff that follo...

I love Miis, you love Miis.. but why? We all know and love Mario, Sonic, Kirby, and all these other mascots, but today, I want to talk about why the Nintendo Mii is the absolute pinnacle of gaming mascots. We have the iconic Wii Sports, where your creation gets to come to life and duke it out with your friends and family, and so many other games in the Wii library that encourage you to inject y...
Why Casual Gaming in 2024 is Impossible
Переглядів 4,5 тис.8 місяців тому
today, I'm going to complain about why it's so hard to casually game now more than ever. There are so many huge games out there like God of War, Elden Ring, Ghost of Tsushima, the list goes on. Then on the flipside, you have chill games like Pokemon, Minecraft, Stardew Valley, etc. Obviously steam isn't the best representation of all the massive games out there, but it was a number to work with...
If I Can Beat Elden Ring, You Can Too

i suck at video games and was able to beat elden ring. this is probably not even the most efficient way to do it, but it got the job done. Like I said, I literally suck, so I'm just happy to have beaten it. I remember it clearly how I swift going to an internet cafe to borrow pc and play pokemon crater. My team were Gengar, pidgeot, raichu, tyranitar, shiftry, and lumineon. I will never forget the date December 1, 2007 was the day I was trying many times to open it on browser and I was a kid and not knowing it got shutdown. Since then I have loved pokemon. I collect cards and watch anime because of that game. Also tries many pokemon online games like pokemondeluge, pokemonlake, and pokemonvortex.
Holy crap I had completely forgotten about this game!
Top tier memory for sure
Huh, who would have guessed that 11 year old me was right about lemonades
Didn't you know Abra has only teleportation initially?
You have the same rival name as My rival in pokemon fire red
Why are you using "donations" to offset an efficency cost in calculations? It sounds like a more resonable approach would either be 1. the out of battle overheal will be calculated as a percentage cost instead of the full price, as this would still factor in the price of the potion (this puts max pots in it's own category but whatevers) or 2. each battle is done twice, once with overheal and once with underheal, with the lower cost of that battle taken as the true cost.
Allow me to bless you with some external hardware allowed speedrun knowledge. One gym. You need one gym, a copy of pokemon stadium 2, a game that has already reached celedon city and at least one transfer pak. . In a normal play through go to bill like normal, return to cerulean pokemon centre save tge game inside. Close the game, open your second game buy a freshwater, save in any pokemon center. . Open pokemon stadium 2 > white city > pokemon lab > pc > colour case deposit the fresh water. Switch games, withdraw fresh water. Boot your game back up. Go through the burgled house and give water to the north saffron guard. . (It doesnt save much time over rock tunnel in a run but it seems like it would have helped you get access to celedon for this challenge) . This can all be done on "specially designed digital hardware" for anyone whom it concerns. . Upon starting to actually watch this video I have realised my mistake, he's using FRLG not RGBY 😂 they changed it into a key item sadly so it can't be replicated (yes that's the reason why they changed it, it wasn't a softlock issue it was a sequence break issue)
As a kid i could eye track 7s and hit jackpots 5/10 times
When you use a full restore and have to donate infinity money.
I liked to buy Lemonades 😊❤
This is why I stick to the beverages, or even the herbs. they are cheaper and heal more per dollar than potions. Course later on when I have a bunch of money, I just stick with full restores. Also, the revival herb is darn good.
With a party like that no wonder why its expensive 🤣🤣🤣
When I use cheat codes Moo Moo Milk is my spam choice, Sacred Ash, Max revive, Full Restore and healing berries. I don't bother with Full Heal because the berries are better and I am not talking about price either. Without cheat Lemonade over the milk. Rare Candy is the selling currency, I dont bother using the money cheat because of that.
blissey actually gets to around 400hp at lvl60~ (assuming 31 ivs 0 evs which isnt gonna happen at the end of a playthrough) in the worst case scenario of 0ivs and evs blissey will have 418 hp at lvl67
2:00 But your video is anecdotal evidence
Can we spend a bit more time talking about how the normal potion is significantly worse than just straight up water. What the hell is the company putting in them? Surely they contain water. Just don't put the other ingredients in there and you'll literally have a better product. What the hell are you doing Silph Co
I remember how I was trying to catch moltres... first 10 ultra balls - fail, second 20 great balls - fail, 1 pokeball - CAUGHT
why some ppl say the same about great vs ultra ball?
The slots are skill based reaction time plays a factor and predicting the order
Wouldn't it have been faster, more efficient and more accurate to do a single run and then just calculate how much each healing item would have cost over the run as a comparison? Then you could have done the same on every other run to get more data. I mean you could argue that having to heal mid battle would make calculations more difficult but the same could be said for each run, some runs you needed to heal way more and throw out more revives anyway.
10:26 saved her from a pedo pokemon. Hypno literally hypnotizes kids and leads them into forests. DARK
I stg if bro had a little more vocal fry, he'd sound just like Chris Griffin
@@ladymadeline3595 worst diss i’ve ever gotten
@mistercbody It wasn't really meant as an insult. More like "oh hey, has anyone ever told you that you look like (example name)"
Interesting challenge, but I've got an idea to take this one step further: Use a warp code to START in Celadon City, and get the Coin Case and gamble until you can afford a Clefairy. >:3
you can get a dratini, so yes, easilyyy
The idea that it’s a Rocket’s ideal customer that takes them down in poetic. Beating Giovani with everything in HIS game corner.
My Jewish ancestors thank you for this knowledge
Your methodology is so...bad 😂
thank you Daniel
I... Don't exactly understand why you fought for each attempt instead of simply calculating how many items of each type you'd have to use for one run 😅
because that would’ve made too much sense
Neat analysis video! Thanks for uploading!
Or you can just plant fields of Sitrus Berries, Lum Berries, and Leppa Berries, and live like the King of Capitalism.
I was today years old when I found out you could use the pokey flu to awake your pokemon
Woah why did pikachu have all that
I really like your type of content, but wish it wasn’t only on Pokémon hope you get more of a spread in the futre
I think this also means that moomoo milk is the best option in Pokémon platinum because you can get it before the elite 4 and but it in bulk which is so convenient
Also I hope the channel grows so you can donate $1 per hp instead :)
I hope so too my friend🙏
Venusaur reminded me to subscribe
Great video
thank you!
Sorry but I don’t care how good the video might be. That Pikachu earned the dislike.
you can’t handle the pikachu and it shows.
I feel like it needs to be pointed out that FRLG is probably the worst possible game to do this comparison in since it had possibly the easiest e4 and champion battle ever, so the efficiency of healing items is almost irrelevant.
Pokemon with 106 and higher base HP are capable of having 416 HP at level 100. This list of Pokemon available in gen 3 would be: Mewtwo Ho-Oh Lugia Walrein Whiscash Entei Jigglypuff Lanturn Wailmer Vaporeon Lapras Munchlax Wigglytuff Hariyama Slaking Snorlax Wailord Wobbuffet Chansey Blissey
Have not watched yet. Extremely easy though cmon
Personally I spend about 50% of my currency on Poke Balls And 40% of TMS And 10% on status removal.
also I noticed you mentioned no restrictions or penalties for getting KO'd. So in theory, you could farm the elite 4 until level 100(or getting lucky), without using a single healing item. 17:11 Max Repel... heals?
in gen 5, status effect restoring items are completely worthless since you can just go to castelia city and bulk buy casteliacones for 100 each, which restore all status conditions aside from fainting
ah yes potions are the biggest scam in all of pokemon *looks at max repel* definitely not the supposed best in market for repels.
i covered this one😭
Did anyone else watch Chuggaaconoy LP’s growing up and have been catching legendaries in regular poke balls since
That pikachu thicc
I've been playing a rom pokemon uranium and there is 2 heals I adore in it. Coconut water and carrot wine. Coconut water heals 50 and is a full heal and cost 800. Carrot wine heals 100 and is full heal and cost 1600. And my raw heal of choice is the bitter herb that heals 200 that costs 800. Coconut is insanely efficient since a super potion and full heal is like 1300 and 2 turns. Carrot wine is still pretty damn efficient since otherwise that's 2 supers and a full heal which is 2000. And bitter herb are base game and always better than hyper potions. Since most people give 0 fs about friendship As for normal games. I never buy ultra balls and max potions. Ultra balls are overpriced compared to great balls or dual balls. Dusk balls are better and cheaper. Great balls are barely worse but nearly half the price....f that. And lategame healing is hyper potions and a couple full restores for emergencies. 0 reason max potion even exist. Its 500 difference. Spend the 5k more and get 10 full restores vs 10 max....
The game should heal you up after each trainer. It's kind of pointless to have to go back to the center every time, it takes no skill to do that and it just wastes time.
That's the beauty of the internet. It's full of problems that people don't have, but still want an answer to.
