Roger waters was the genius behind pink Floyd, and it was never the same after he left ! He wrote most the songs and most of the music on the wall and dark side of the moon. Without Roger waters pink Floyd would not have successfully existed.

I was there - I'd just gotten back from Asia and we went to the airport, bought tickets at the gate, and , and flew there.

What strikes me is how awkwardly uncomfortable they are at talking about themselves, and how Maben is obsessed with getting as absurdly close up shots as he can get.

Thanks for posting this. I was at this concert. Still have the ticket. As well as these shows being the first performances of DSOM before it was released with that title, this was the first use of quadrophonic live in concert, as I recall.

I wish Roger would release the footage from some of these shows that were filmed, he showed some of the video on the screen at *his* wall show 11 or 12 years ago, we can always hope for a 50th anniversary immersion edition though.

THANKS! I was there on the 13th. Also went to Nassau County Coliseum a couple weeks later. Best show EVER! Way ahead of their time. No pics except after of the collapsed Wall. They made me check my camera at the office. I am 71 now. At the time, I was working at American Airlines at ORD, so travel was easy. The line "Should I trust the government?" got no reaction in LA but in New York It got the crowd screaming "HELL NO!" Thanks for making this show more than a memory!

I was at this concert. A quite magical time when I was 16 years old. At the time I was playing my Meddle album almost every other day. The two highlights for me were Money and Careful With That Axe Eugene. Money started out with the cash register sounds going through a surround sound speaker system - which was a novel concept at that time. Careful With That Axe was visually stunning, and will never forget.

It’s so great that this recording exists. I was up in the front and the one thing that stands out to me was the helium inflated balloon man that was suspended on a guy wire behind the stage that someone was tugging on. You couldn’t see the wire so it looked like the guy was floating. That, and of course, the pig going across the stadium. Thanks for posting this.
