Fj Cruiser RGB Jeep Headlight Install
Wanted to install RGB Jeep Head lights on my Fj Cruiser.
I noticed there was not a lot of options available for Fj Cruisers unless u made your own with aftermarket Retro fits.
Prior to this installed Retro fits but this time I wanted to experiment and do a video while Installing Jeep Head lights. I hope you enjoy !!

How to remove the FJ Cruiser Passenger Fender as well as installing a Snorkel kit. I wanted to Install a Snorkel but to do it I had to Remove the fender. I noticed there wasn't many videos or info on step by step on how to remove the fenders on a FJ Cruiser so I decided to make a video while I was at it. This Snorkel kit doesn't require any drilling. Will add more videos as I continue to upgrad...

Awesome is the android auto wireless? Lots of these units say they are but aren't.
@jasontomlinson9619 yes. You don't need to connect a usb cable for using music or google maps feature. It is 🛜 wireless.
Thanks for the video very helpful, I got a similar HU from joying and I’m trying to add a backup camera. I’m a little confused Do you get the signal to trigger the camera when reversing from that “back” wire on the HU or from the reverse light?
💙, I got my signal from the reverse tail light. And u also have to connect the other end of the cable little red cable to the stereo back up signal and the video rca.
not related to this video, but was wondering if you have had any trouble with noise after your snorkel install? Been considering the same snorkel for my fj.

Not all the wires get used, just the ones I show on the video.
@@Fjoffroad yeah i installed it and it was messed up. Dude gave me a full refund. He apparently pallet resells and there is a reason this one was on the pallet lol

Do all those RCS's get hooked up to anything?
Only if u have or want an extra sub or Amp or additional powered speakers. There is also camera hookups but the rcas are labeled with tags.
So the you tied the black wire to the radiator/chassis and then you tapped the white wire on both units to their individual parking lights on the turn signal lights ? And that worked to turn both halos on, on the corner lights ?
What unit is this? Perfect fit
It's just one I found on Amazon. Just make sure it looks like this one.
interested to know if that camera survived. I'm going to use a rear bumper mount but purchased a flush mount camera instead.
The camera it came with was pretty nice and clear. Eventually I installed a flush one.
hey man, got a couple questions about the reverse light wiring. im trying to wire my camera right now but i don't have enough access to the wiring. ive trimmed the loom a bit but theres still not enough slack for me to have enough access and splice into the wires. my hands barely fit into the hole and i dont want to just yank on the harness. any help on what i can do to get more wire slack? also is it okay to just splice into the negative wire into the negative of the reverse light, or do i have to ground it? any help would be really appreciated.
Hey 👋, for the ground just ground to any bolt or nut that's connected to any part of the metal body, you don't need to connect to the tail lamp ground, not needed. (I wouldn't personally). :) For the reverse signal I just removed the bulb socket and with a razor blade peeled back the signal wire a tad and I was able to tap into it. You can get a spare piece of wire and tap it into the harness and you can use electrical tape to make it easier if u can't solder back there, this way you have more slack if your rear camera wires dont reach. I know it's a bit though to get back there. If it is still hard to get back there u could try removing the tail lamp for more access. Hope this works out for ya 👌 💙

How’s this setup working for you still. I’m thinking of buying one off Amazon for my fj cruiser. My fjammer radio that’s in now turns on and acts normal but there is zero doing. It just didn’t work one day.
Also did your subwoofer work? Did you have to splice a amp wire ? Thanks man!
It has been a good unit. It works. So far very enjoyable. I did not hook up a sub as my fj cruiser did not have one but may do another video once I do get the factory sub which is plan on doing.
Hi. Thanks for posting this how to. I'm interested in the same unit and can now follow along during my install. It really seems to check all the main boxes and the price is hard to believe. Have you tried the Apple Carplay or Android Auto? If so which one and how well does it work? And when using handsfree to talk to someone can the person you are talking to hear you just fine?
Glad it helps bud. The sound on mic is pretty clear which I was surprised for the price. Ive asked my friends and family about the phone call quality and they say its pretty good overall. The more I'm learning about this android unit I realize it has so many options and hidden features. I'm really glad I purchased it. Yea the android auto works great and the Google maps on it as well without having to use the wire. Sound quality I like more than the factory toyota unit and backup camera is really clear in day and night. Got it on Amazon for about $125 with a discount of $20. I purchased another as well for a 2013 Mazda 2 and a 92 Acura integra and they also work great. No issues so far. 💪💙
Have one of those and did the bezel painting to match my voodoo. It’s been more than a year and so far no issues. It crashes once in a blue moon, but overall, great unit and looks factory.

Noticed you deleted your fender flares. What did you use in place so that there’s no bare metal look underneath?
Glad you asked. I ended up using Raptor Liner coating on the bottom wheel wells. really strong stuff and durable.

What snorkel kit is that? I can fine one made out of fiberglass, but not plastic.

Sorry to change topics, I tow my FJ cruiser behind my RV using the D rings on my aftermarket bumper. I see these D rings are screwed onto the bumper. Do you think your bumper is thick enough or the way the D rings are attached it would be safe to tow my FJ using the D rings? Thank you
I'm not sure that I would tow it from the D shackle Rings behind an Rv. I will say it is more than strong to tow or pull things with it or get pulled out from the D rings but for towing I would purchase an adjustable tow bar kit. They are not too expensive. You could remove the D rings and use the pin brackets to bolt your tow bar onto for towning purposes. Once your done towing you can re install your D rings on your bumper. 👌🙌🙂

where's the fun in that 😅. the lights available for the fj are very few and limited. The custom ones take months to receive as well. I wanted to customize them myself.

The only issue with this snorkel i have is the fact that i can't use it with my Victory roof rack because of the mounting position.
Yea I totally get it. There's a roof rack I really liked but have to mod or choose a different one because this snorkel will get in the way

This bumper I belive is the Vijay from Amazon. Comes with integrated offroad lights. The headlights are from Amazon as well. They have the halo rings around the lights. The center projectors are not part of them, I retrofitted those projectors with honeycomb look. :)

Correct bro. I have had it for a few months now. It's been solid 💯 👌. Feels very thick and heavy duty. It's really heavy too. The winch mount plate is thicker too. It ain't going anywhere 😁💪. I was willing to give it a try due to the price. I actually really like it. ✨️🙌

It's a bumper I found on Amazon. Its one of the more common ones but I liked it. I also didn't have to wait to get a offroad bumper. 😜🙌💙

Where did you tie into for power and ground for the halos
Ground - on the radiator support, for halos + I tied into the parking lights power.

Oh, it's the factory grill, just cut out for the lights. May change it at some point since I have my offroad bumper Led lights now as well.
