The Ultimate Bikepacking Setup. Is there an ultimate setup? Does it include panniers? We think so! Since posting videos of our recent bikepacking trips here we have had many questions about the bikes, the luggage, the bags, the setup & the gear… and hardly any questions about the actual travels. So we figured we’d made a short video explaining all of that and why we think this is the ideal setu...

Good job my friend thank you 😊
pěkné video, jezdíte po místech které mám stokrát projeté, sice vám nerozumím, překladač je nepřesný, jediné co vím, že Vendy je Češka, podle té přesné výslovnosti místních názvů
Maybe a naive question but howndid you get all thr camping hear with you? Have you parchesed the van or shipped over?
Unbelievable 😮 So much stuff in such a small space! Thanks for that x
Oh, look at the food, look at the food. Idiot toruists. What happened to Princess Lalla Salma ??? She is pushing up flowers. Lets look at Morocco a Muslim nation that allows ship losded with weapons for ISRAELto dock while Spain, a Christian nation turned away that same ship with weapons used to kill muslims. Polise torture is legal in Morocco. Moroccos nepotism deestroys hope . Moroccos, Isolationism breads poety and ignrance Moroccos tribalism destroys justice. But, look at the food, look at all the cheap food.
very nice indeed
Nice video, thanks for posting. I will be doing this section next year, so this has been very informative 👍
How do you figure out everything your going to need for the electrical system
Thanks for uploading but your problem will be everything gets full of mud due to no mud guards, unless your fitting them later
This is a great conversion. Not overly complicated, clean and satisfies your needs. Well done!
Great!! Love your videos thanks for sharing
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. Just stumbled across your channel and WOW. CELER ET AUDAX
That looks amazing . Great job!!!
Vauuuu silulkove moc krásný můj sen taky ale. ......
A not too steep climb on a quiet road is always better than a busy road.😉 You do this beautifully and at your age your legs will quickly get used to longer distances and longer climbs. Another small question: the retractable bike stand that you use seems very practical to me. Did you buy it somewhere or did you make it yourself?
Thanks for your video efforts. Very enjoyable. We did a cycle/barge trip from Passau to Vienna and it was fabulous. We had 50-60 km days on the bike and meals and a bed on this boat. Highly recommended way to see this beautiful area. One of the most beautiful areas of the world.
Fantastic video and your van, but I believe that in order to make it so professionally, you have to have knowledge of everything, otherwise it won't be so nice....Of course, these videos are for people who have some good experience and can make something corresponding and not for a beginner...
Bicycle touring! Don’t be embarrassed it’s bicycle touring
If you want to know very little about Mdina and Rabat and you wish to see a young couple eating and drinking coffee watch this video. Very little interesting content.
Brilliant film guys! Remarkably, we had the same weather on the same sections that you did. Keep going, filming and publishing. Don
Hi! Really love the setup! Could you show us how you did it to stop the panniers from rattling?
Are you concerned about he inside of your van smelling like diesel from the tank being inside? I'm super worried about that.
Thanks for sharing! Great help for my own build! 🎉
Really nice video, the perfect editing, nicely done. I wish you a better weather next time.
It’s really beautiful.
Thanx for beatiful&fantastic videos! Do you have your recorded track route? Strava? Komoot maybe?
1:22 min, owl of tartaria?????
❤nice the cycling tour travels❤👍😎🌐🏡🇵🇭
How did you find your boat? I'm on Vancouver Island in Victoria and been looking for ages
Hi has the air intake got to be outside the van? I understand the exhaust must .
@@billyd9205 Yes the air intake and exhaust must both go through the floor
It seems that nowadays whatever you do or are you have to fit into a 'drawer'. I have owned a bike since '91 but only a couple of years ago started cycling further than a trip down to the shop. I love touring around and the 2 drawers (bike packing or touring) don't fit my wardrobe. Before coming across your and for the same reasons video my bike set up was more or less the same as yours, and still is. As a solo traveller I have to carry everything, but living in Portugal there isn't usually a weather problem and tent can be just a bivvy bag and suchlike. My panniers are Crosso front pannier bags used on rear rack (15 litres each max), and a selection of frame bags etc. picked up in sales at various sport shops. I'm interested, does the exra bar thing work well and not slip round the handlebar? Those seat post racks for bike packing appear to weigh(and cost) much the same as a rear rack from what I've seen. Thanks for the video. Nicely and clearly presented.
Congratulations on your trip 👏
@@timdalton3989 thank you!! 👍

Wow so nice! I used to own a 2003 Ford Expedition. So reliable can carry a lot people and stuff and haul and all. Very reliable. I miss driving it. Enjoy! ❤
They're very good vehicles!! 👍
Wow man wow! Everything you guys have said in this video confirmed what I want to do in a Expedition! You guys are great! 👍🏿 Thank you for confirming what I want to do 😁!
Awesome, good luck with yours! 😄👍
Awesome content!
Best camper build videos I have seen so far! What kind of fridge are you using?
Thanks very much! It's a 12v compressor fridge by Indel B 👍
Just watched the whole series and its an easy watch and very educational. You guys have done a brilliant job, the fact you did it in 3 weeks is even more impressive but hard work pays off.. Hope you get as much enjoyment from using the van as you seem to have got from doing the build.
Thanks very much 😄👍 good luck with yours!!
@@lookpastlimits people seem to spend lots of money and time framing out before cladding or flooring. Screwing straight into the ribs and frames seems sensible to me !! What type of screws did you use for cladding and ply board to metal ?
@@carlhescornish yes it saved us a lot of time and hassle and we've never had any problems with it. This is the screws we used: www.screwfix.com/p/easydrive-phillips-double-countersunk-self-drilling-wing-screws-5-5mm-x-40mm-100-pack/16748
Was just looking at different electrical set ups and came across you're channel. Very well presented video, even with the Scottish accent 😂 I'll be checking the rest of your build series now, looking fwd to them.. Oh and they are called ferrules in UK, the wee connectors you point out in part 2 for the 230v... Well done guys ❤
We plan on going from Passua to Budapest in August, 2024. Thanks for sharing.
❤
Wonderful to follow along on your journey. Thanks for sharing. We are looking to cycle aling the ev6 from Passau to Vienna. We were wondering what time of the year this was as you seemed to run into a lot of rain.
We were in Isla Mujeres 40 years ago. It was empty. There was one tourist grade hotel and hammock campground full of fun loving Europeans. It was beautiful!
Hey Steve and Vendy 👋 Nice to meet you. Great vlog from a beautiful Malta. Cheers from a fellow traveler 👍
would have liked to visit this place 40 years ago. sad.
Great video, how far you go and how long it takes dose not matter enjoy .
just watching your video question i have are you not concermed should you go through a flood that the air intake will suck up water and destroy the heater, would it not be more sensible to fit the air supply inside the van? the unit i have is an all in one .
You don't tend to have the heater on when you're driving along. Having the combustion air intake inside the living space depletes it of oxygen.
@ good point. 👍. Thanks for replying.
Spot on about the tent when travelling, good choices. I fitted wider handlebars to my Boardman, A: because I find wide more comfortable anyway,B; It gave me more room for front loading. On short trips, I strap on a DD Hammocks 8L pack to carry brew kit and snacks. The off bike kit is also important, need to dress comfortably. What did you do for hygiene, on multi days if not using campsites I use shower in a bottle splash which works.....for a few days anyway when sitting in the pub and not clamping the armpits :)
So damn nice and inspiring
Hi guys! Thanks for the video, nice job! We also build a camper and would like to know that is the white material you put on the floor? Thanks in advance! Subscribed on you!
