Koreski Chamber Organ Demo
This is a close up of the Self Playing chamber Organ I built specially for my Classical concert Series. This Organ served as my personal Orchestra in a few of my concerts. It is controlled by MIDI, so it can be played automatically or by a live musician, depending on the needs of the occasion.

On the Way to a Concert in Tillamook Oregon,, we stopped at an Ocean Side View point to do a brief Practice Session and Get some inspiration from the Natural beauty of the Pacific Coast. I try to do something like this before each of my concerts so that I can take that energy and inspiration to the Audience at my Concert later in the Evening. I was playing Bach's AIr on the G string.

It's in G major/E minor at 432 Hz.
God so beautiful and presentable. This thing was made to be played outside and would be a sin not to. I just wish he made them in metal pipe, I much prefer the tone one metal piped portatives.
Thank You. These are stopped flute pipes,, which would sound just as fluty in metal or wood. I do build Open pipes as-well which have the classic Diapason tone heard from metal pipes. Tone like that can be acquired from either metal or wood.

@@kishascape Yes, I feel the wooden stopped pipes stay very well in tune and it is easy to adjust their tuning.
I am curious why the portatif organ is worn in such an interesting sideways manner with a strap? Was it used while walking/marching?
Yes, most of them were made to be played while standing or sometimes walking.
Hi my great grandfather was a organ grinder in England from 1910 onwards. His name is Joseph Lostitch/Lostich. He was always being fined by the police for begging. I have a few paper copies of him being mentioned around England, Scotland and Wales. I don't suppose you have come across anything about him. I have no photos of him playing his organ but I know his daughter Julie Lostich/Lostich used to have a photo of him, he was face large gates and he was playing his organ with his monkey
What a wonderful Family Story. Unfortunately I have not found anything specifically mentioning Joseph Lostitch. I would be so excited if I did! Most of these pictures are of unknown origin.

This is so. Incredibly wonderful! I was trawling the inner depths of UA-cam last night and came across this. I hit it because I am an organ grinder myself I have a little Raffin 20/31. And my channel is full of me playing various hand turned organs. I thought ooh. What’s this video. Tribute to the barrel organ player! And wow. What a SURPRISE when I started to listen! I immediately grabbed my headphones And had a wonderful 18 minutes! I’m back this morning to listen again and make this comment Honestly if this was a 10 hour video with all different happy music on it. I would listen to it all the way through! What a marvellous creation this organ is. I’m very impressed! Very well done making this! Is there any more information anywhere about the build ? A website perhaps? How is the organ run? How many pipes are there? I hope you will make more videos with this! 😍😍😍
Hello, I'm glad you liked the Video. The Organ is a 61 note Fully chromatic 5 Octave Organ. It's controlled by Midi,, However I designed the Chest very carefully, using expansion chambers under the toe holes so that the pipes don't chiff or bark due to the quick electric action. It was intended to feel like a small village church organ, instead of a chiffy calliope. So basically this is what ragtime music would sound like on a small church organ,, ha,ha. Unfortunately making a how-to video series was never part of the plan,, so I don't have any videos. sorry.
@@seankoreski5826 u had a feeling it was fully chromatic !! Very cool ! You can pretty much play any midi file you find then I guess so !! That is so cool !! My organ has 20 notes. 31 pipes. A lot smaller ! The sound of hours is very smooth ! Mine had the midi system added much later on in life It was more just a matter of interest that I wanted to learn about your build. As I have a lifelong interest in mechanical music. Particularly organs ! I would really love to hear more of this organ! More wonderful jolly music !! 😍😍
