So timely and universal. Thank you very much,
How beautiful! Thank you very much.
I have a very large vintage silver plated footed butler tray however there is no mark that I can see on it anywhere and I was wondering what it’s worth with me if it’s worth anything if you knew anything more about this tree
Long time no see! Welcome back
Gracias ☺️
Very helpful! Thank you for sharing 👍🏻
Interesting !
Sir, the way you read aloud brings the story to life. What a nice time i had listening after stumbling onto your channel. Thank you.
Loved this story
I stayed there during the summer. A wonderful place, wonderfully welcoming family. The view of the terraced garden from the rooms is spectacular.
It’s a magical place
@@MrStevenMooreI’ve paid more to stay in chain hotels. I hope to visit again.
Do you have any info on the Canadian Royal Yacht Club dining sets. I’m going to do the test above but I can literally find almost nothing on them.
That was such a lovely story and so beautifully read. Thanks for sharing it!
I have been called disgusting for ordering cream with my tea and scone in Grassington.

A delight.
I am only all the way envious. 😊

What do you suggest as the best place to sell either silver plate or silver. I have a family heirlooms that I need to sell and I'm afraid I'm going to get scammed. Any suggestions would be appreaciated.
Are you in the U.K.?
This shirt is impeccable
Wow
This is so wholesome
My husband thrifted a silverware set for regular use, not noticing it had a mark on the back. I noticed it was tarnished, so I wondered if it is real silver or silver plated. Each piece has a 1847 Rogers Bros. mark on the back. After googling a bit, I have found mixed responses. Some say that pieces made before 1850 were not marked with the .925 or sterling. Others say that Roger Bros. made these in 1860 and stamped them as 1847 Rogers Bros. and they are likely silver plated. May I have your thoughts please?
Rogers Bro’s made silver plate. The 1847 mark was only used after 1862
Is silver on copper silverplate or actually sterling silver on copper?
Silver on copper is just that: silver on copper. A thin layer or silver over a thicker one of copper.
I always enjoy your videos.....thank you
the word you are looking for is translucent, not transparent.
❤❤❤😊
As ever, a wonderfully informative post, Steven. I learn so much from you
I have a silent butler with the marks of P in a circle; S in a circle; a shield divided in three with what looks like a standing dog or wolf, crossed swords and a D in the bottom third and Cc in a circle...all marks are in a row. Can you tell me what those might mean? I have not been able to locate them anywhere.
Thank you for your helpful explanation.
Josiah Wedgwood was a remarkable & highly-intelligent man, as was his grandson Charles Darwin (it must run in the family).
Very interesting, thanks.
This video was so informative. I very much agree with using antiques where possible, most of the joy comes from stepping back into the past and using the piece as it was intended. Antiques are such a joy, and the quality can be breathtaking. Loved this video, thank you. 😺💜
Fabulous thanks so Much for your wonderful channel
I have 2 Antique Sheffield Silver Covered Vegetable Dishes … given to me by mum as a wedding present 40 years ago. Dish has 4 silver stamps in base.
